Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake is a long-awaited return to one of the most iconic survival horror franchises of the 2000s. While the visuals and combat system have received a major upgrade, the heart of the game remains the story of sisters Mio and Mayu. Horror fans looking for atmosphere, emotional storytelling, and the unique camera-based combat will likely enjoy this remake. However, those seeking immediate, constant scares or fast-paced modern action may come away disappointed.

Is WWE 2K26 revolutionary and “the best in the world,” like CM Punk? In both cases, the answer is: no. But it works. Despite its maximally refined and polished in-ring action, an expanded roster and match variety, and a fantastic, innovative Showcase mode, the game still suffers from a microtransaction cancer that grows more aggressive each year. The clearest proof is the newly introduced “Battle Pass” system, designed to squeeze money out of you or charge again for things that used to be free.

I recommend Reanimal to anyone who enjoys atmospheric horror adventures, especially in co-op. It delivers a short but impactful experience with excellent direction, solid mechanics, and enough creepy moments to make you check if something’s moving under your bed at night.

Tales of Berseria Remastered doesn’t bring many significant improvements over the original 2016 game, but it still features dynamic combat, an interesting world, charming characters, and a beautifully tragic story that I would recommend to JRPG and anime fans. I had a great time playing as the evil - or rather, good - Velvet, and I’m sure you will too.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined presents a fresh vision of the classic JRPG franchise that started it all - and this version may be aiming to begin something new of its own, more accessible to newcomers. While it doesn’t introduce anything particularly revolutionary, it’s certainly worth trying - it just might surprise you.

There’s no need to overcomplicate this. Resident Evil Requiem is a fantastic game that shows how to properly lay a long-running storyline to rest. If you’ve played the first two entries, this is one you absolutely shouldn’t miss. It delivers long-awaited answers to questions that have lingered for nearly 30 years.

Without a doubt, this is the finest representative of the new mountaineering game genre, captivating players with its atmosphere and gameplay all the way to the snow-covered summit of Mount Kami. Its slow yet incredibly tense pacing transforms sheer mountain cliffs into challenging, boss-like encounters.

When you take everything into account, what you get is a fusion of Team Ninja’s incredible attention to detail and clear love for the Nioh series, seamlessly wrapped - albeit rarely so well - into an open-world structure with an outstanding exploration-reward system. As a result, despite a few questionable design choices, you’re left with an exceptional game that never becomes dull for a single moment.

All things considered, Code Vein II feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air in an otherwise saturated souls-like genre. With its charming narrative, well-crafted social systems, and engaging mechanics, it keeps you hooked from start to finish as you dive deep into the mysteries of its post-apocalyptic world.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is a confident, atmospheric return that, at its best, fully understands what makes the Metroid Prime series special. Strong gameplay, responsive controls, and thoughtful world design confirm that Retro Studios still has a firm grasp on the franchise. Unfortunately, excessive hand-holding, increased linearity, and heavy guidance through companion characters often undermine the sense of isolation and free exploration. Despite these shortcomings, Beyond remains an authentic and worthwhile experience that lays a solid — if not perfect — foundation for potential future Metroid Prime games.

Dual Effect has delivered a title that doesn’t try to please everyone, but instead confidently says, “This is for you - veterans who survived the PlayStation 1 era.” Tormented Souls 2 is not just a tribute to its inspirations; it’s proof that small developers can create experiences that stand shoulder to shoulder with the genre’s undisputed giants.

Smallthing Studios has succeeded at what matters most: preserving Simon’s soul. It allows longtime fans to return to a beloved world, while opening the door for new generations to experience an adventure that transcends age and time. If you enjoy point-and-click adventures—whether you’re old school or new—this is a title you should not miss.

Few games manage to be frustrating, tense, and oddly endearing in their clumsiness at the same time. If you’re ready to laugh through the pain while struggling to survive, Beneath delivers a uniquely awkward experience. It may not be perfect, but it’s bizarre enough to be remembered - for better or, more likely, for worse.

StarFire: Eternal Cycle could have been something truly special, but its scattered narrative lacks a clear thread to tie everything into a cohesive whole. If all you’re looking for is straightforward brawling, the game can still make sense, but if you expect anything more, you’d be better off turning to a different, more fully realized title.

Just Dance 2026 is exactly the kind of solid sequel you’d expect from the world’s most popular dance franchise. While the annual formula is slowly starting to show its age, Ubisoft keeps the series feeling fresh with occasional technical improvements and a steady stream of new music. With 40 new tracks spanning a wide range of styles, this edition is perfect for house parties, family-friendly fun, or even a solo dance session.

Syberia Remastered does a respectable job of blending classic adventure design with modern technical upgrades, honoring Benoît Sokal’s legacy while introducing his world to a new generation of players. Unfortunately, noticeable shortcomings - stiff animations, cutscene issues, and inconsistent audio mixing - undermine the experience more than they should.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is a game that knows how to pull you into its web of systems and challenges, yet it rarely leaves the kind of lasting mark that defines true genre classics. It attracts, entertains, and frustrates in equal measure. It’s good enough to deserve a chance, but not quite distinctive enough to be the kind of experience you’ll want to revisit for years to come.

If you loved the old-school Silent Hill games - especially Silent Hill 2 and 3 - then you absolutely need to play this one. Silent Hill F is exactly what longtime fans of the genre have been missing, and we can only hope this talented team keeps going. This is the kind of game that stays with you for a long, long time.

Neon Inferno pulls from old-school ideas, splashes them with an ’80s color palette and CRT flair, then tops it all off with a dose of bullet-time spice served at a pace that keeps you chasing “just one more run.” And just when you think you’re done, the game winks and whispers: “Come on, one more round - you know you want to.”
