A Little Golf Journey
A Little Golf Journey is the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon game. A game with no stakes, no antagonists, no visible characters at all. Just a ball hopping around lovely low-poly environments, checking around corners for secrets and branching pathways. The challenge level can be a bit tricky, but there are quite

Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery
Lessons learned from Frog Detective: - Crime? Not real. - Books? Trash. - Moles? Not to be trusted. - Extortion? Fun. - Your address? Give it to everybody. - Frog Detective? #1 in my heart. Highly recommended, this is an absolutely adorable little adventure trilogy. The dialogue might be my favorite of any game since Golf Story.

Little Inferno - Switch Edition
Come for the pyromania, stay for the surprisingly impactful and bleak story. One of my favorite endings of any game. Go in blind if at all possible!

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
I am VERY CONFLICTED about Rift Apart. It's an absolutely stunning showcase for the PS5 in every way, and it feels like a legitimate masterpiece most of the time. But then it just has to do something dumb every once in a while to bring the experience down. First: The Good! I've

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension
This is one of the most creative and clever point-and-clicks I've ever played. Unfortunately, there's a large portion lampooning pay-to-win idle clicker mobile games, and the game's commitment to the bit turns that segment into a bad time, though the game recovers and ends quite strongly. As the title states, there

Duck Detective: The Secret Salami
Using a magnifying glass on a character design to reveal bits of a more detailed drawing (showing details like tears in eyes or badges on clothes) is one of the most clever and fun mechanics I've ever experienced in a detective game. Shame it's not longer, but it's a lovely

The Rise of the Golden Idol
The puzzles here are better, more challenging (while still being perfectly solvable without the internet's help), and certainly more creative than the first game, but the throughlines of the story aren't nearly as compelling. There's no downturn in terms of gameplay, but I can't say I got as invested in

SteamWorld Heist II
I had been wanting this sequel for a WHILE. The first SteamWorld Heist is one of my all-time favorites, so I was more than ready for another round of Donald Duck Billiards Geometry Tactical Shootouts. It didn't end up reaching the heights of the first game for me, but it's
