8 / 10.0 - Slitterhead
Nov 4, 2024

Slitterhead is a successful experiment. It combines a cryptic and complex story within an episodic mission system that simply works. All that spiced with precise, complex and visceral combat.

Sonic X Shadow Generations recalls one of the great games of the series and adds extra content that doesn't quite shine. Sonic's adventure is now very enjoyable, but Shadow's approach has fallen tragically short.

9 / 10.0 - Silent Hill 2
Oct 4, 2024

Silent Hill 2 Remake successfully brings Konami's classic to the current generation. A faithful return, spiced up with the changes that were needed to bring the experience up to current gameplay standards. A perfect excuse to relive James story and a fantastic treat for those who are experiencing it for the first time.

Echoes of Wisdom is a marvel both visually and gameplay-wise. It's riddled with clever puzzles and gives you total freedom to choose to save Hyrule in your own way. An outstanding experience marred only by a few usability issues.

Black Myth: Wukong is one of 2024's must-haves. Heart-stopping visuals and frenetic combat as its foundation, strained by uneven performance and level design that sometimes misses the mark. Still, it manages to deliver an epic and immersive adventure.

Star Wars Outlaws throws itself at you with abland stealth system and a significant lack of animations, but if you can see past all that, you'll find a rich universe filled with things to do. It captures the essence of Star Wars, I just wish it had translated a little better to the format.

8 / 10.0 - Nine Sols
Jul 10, 2024

Nine Sols offers a polished action experience at its best, but at times clouded by overly long and tedious fights. Combat that feels like an endurance test, but with mechanics so precise that it's a joy to get smacked by the bosses over and over again

Shadow of the Erdtree lives up to expectations. The Shadow Lands are built with the same care as the Lands Between, and are filled with new experiences. This DLC is FromSoftware demonstrating their undisputed talent in videogame making.

Another's Crab Treassure is much more than a parody of soulslike games. It's dynamic, fun and surprisingly complete. One of the most interesting indies of the year, which comes with a fresh sense of humour and some very interesting mechanics.

Rise of the Ronin is the culmination of the combat formula that Team Ninja has using since Nioh. A beautiful game, complex and simple at the same time, and a lot of fun. Katanas and firearms to close a a great first quarter of the year for PlayStation.

8 / 10.0 - Ready or Not
Mar 3, 2024

Ready or Not forces you to use all five senses, and teaches you that pulling the trigger is a last resort. A tactical shooter that can get a little repetitive, but whose foundations give you very memorable moments.

7 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Feb 22, 2024

Skull and Bones doesn't quite live up to the expectations of "a AAAA game", at least not at launch. The title relies on dynamic naval combat and bland, pointless walks on land. What Skull and Bones does it does well, but it doesn't aspire to be the definitive pirate game. Perhaps the ultimate pirate ship game would be a title more in line with what we've encountered.

8 / 10.0 - Helldivers II
Feb 15, 2024

Helldivers 2 is fun, chaotic and addictive. A formula filled with space action that is best enjoyed with friends. Build your squad, organize your ranks and set course for remote planets in the name of democracy. A festival of bullets and green goo that will keep you hooked for hundreds of hours.

9 / 10.0 - Tekken 8
Jan 23, 2024

Tekken knows where it's coming from, and we love where it's going. The new mechanics build on a more than established foundation, and add a special flavor that will be enjoyed by newcomers and veterans alike. The Heat System is a hit, and the new arcade modes are more than welcome. A Tekken to play for thousands of hours.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 feels unfinished. The campaign feels like a spin-off of something much bigger, and the zombies don't quite fit in the open world. The multiplayer acts as a redemption for a product that should have stayed in DLC.

7 / 10.0 - Ghostrunner 2
Oct 23, 2023

Ghostrunner 2 follows the essence of the first game, but doesn't fly any higher. Very fast combat and frenetic parkour, but half-baked ideas. Even with its flaws, its trial-and-error philosophy offers a stimulating and fun challenge.

Spider-Man 2 learns from its predecessors and perfects the formula. It's a game that doesn't mess around, and stands on an interesting story, amazing movement mechanics and action-packed combat. Pure and raw fun, a sequel worth playing.
