Critic Reviews for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales isn’t without blemishes, but it’s still a great action-adventure game that continues to prove why the HD-2D art style is among the best around.
Belief in brevity helps an infectious passion shine through well-worn locales and plotting.
It’s an easy game to dive into for a spell here or there or sink hours in, and it’s one I’ll be recommending to anyone who has ever enjoyed a certain mute hero. However, I’ll do so with the recommendation that the volume be turned down once you meet a certain should-be-mute fairy.
She can resurrect you on the spot as many times as you like. For a price, that is.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is a surprisingly strong first attempt at reaching into this genre from a studio not known for it.
Team Asano's new HD-2D game, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millenium Tales, changes genres exploring an action-adventure format instead.
The seamless change from turn-based to action combat proves how timeless the HD-2D art direction is. The Adventures of Elliot not only looks beautiful, but has a story to match. Elliot's journey transcends time and space to deliver an emotional gut punch that'll stick with me for a while.Despite performance issues on Switch 2, there's tons of gameplay variety and fun exploration, which makes it one adventure you'll want to make time for.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales delivers an effortlessly fun and mechanically satisfying experience, making it an ideal pick for anyone who prefers games where pure gameplay reigns supreme over all other elements.
