82% - V Rising

V Rising does almost everything right to offer satisfaction to the player who wants both solid action gameplay, and opportunities to unleash their architectural talents. Unfortunately, the few things it gets wrong are significant enough to keep it from receiving rave reviews.

70% - Rauniot
Apr 19, 2024

Rauniot honestly tries to deliver a grim tale of post-apocalyptic horror, but only partially succeeds, with a series of missteps preventing it from really standing out.

Helldivers 2 is an enjoyable third-person shooter game, offering powerful thrills to the four-person teams that take on the defense of the (managed) Democracy!

Successful application of the Disco Elysium recipe in an atmospheric setting. The story's conclusion should have been less rushed and more cohesive to provide a more complete experience.

The Talos Principle 2 combines the pleasure offered by strong mind benders, with a masterfully crafted story with very interesting philosophical pursuits.

Sonic Superstars is a complete and fun return to the 2D roots of the series. With strong level design and impeccable controls, it could claim a place among the best of the year (and what a year!) with a less tedious boss encounter design.

70% - PAYDAY 3
Oct 12, 2023

PAYDAY 3 at this stage is a fun game at its core, married to a not-so-fun progression grind. Until the expected redesign arrives, devotees will certainly enjoy the 10 to 15 hours it takes to adequately learn the missions for stealth runs, but are unlikely to devote the time needed to unlock the more interesting thingamajigs.

It's a new Trine, and there's a lot of it. It offers exactly what old fans of the series have come to expect, and has all the makings of introducing new fans to the adventures of Amadeus, Zoya and Pontius.

Aliens: Dark Descent manages to absorb the player, with its main arsenal being the strong atmosphere and the high level of challenge. However, I feel that it would need a better sense of control during battles to make it a truly memorable game.

STASIS: BONE TOTEM delivers what it promises, and will satisfy any horror fan who will consciously choose it for its story and atmosphere, knowing that it is somewhat demanding in terms of reading dedication.

A good arcade racing game, which unfortunately gets lost in the open world that doesn't offer much in terms of gameplay. The microtransactions are an additional thorn that I can't help but criticize more than in other games, since here they target to younger ages.

Frogwares delivers a remake that hardly convinces as the next step after Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. If judged on its own merits, it delivers what it promises without impressing.

The return to Zenozoik will please gamers looking for something different from the ordinary in terms of atmosphere, visuals and overall vibe. The gameplay, however, has issues that, on occasion, can prove to be frustrating.

An altogether excellent port of Wizarding World to PC screens. It proudly belongs to the Young Adult fiction genre, which may make immersion difficult for older gamers.

A worthy member of Fatshark's family of Warhammer games, but it needs more polishing and support from the developers until the remarkable core shines.

Sonic's entry into new, for him, gaming paths is overall successful, despite any problems. With a little polish and attention to detail, the next game in the series (at least I take it for granted that there will be one) has the foundations in place to finally look eternal rival Mario in his three-dimensional, bubbly eyes.

The return of the spin-off franchise is unfortunately not a triumphant one. Impressive technically especially in animation, but with borderline non-existent gameplay and an uneven story, it fails to deliver an overall strong experience.

A truly unexpected and ultimately successful mix of roguelite combat and city management. Aside from the remarkable gameplay, the excellent aesthetics also provide pure watching entertainment value, from which some balance issues can't be taken away.
