Indiana Jones and the Great Circle pleasantly surprised me. The choice of a first-person camera, which initially made me skeptical, turned out to be a brilliant decision, delivering a unique and memorable experience. The story is captivating, the graphics are stunning, and the gameplay is enjoyable. Despite some technical issues and the simplicity of the stealth mechanics, the experience is solid and well worth playing. A game worthy of the big screen, it stands out as one of the highlights of 2024 and marks a strong step in the right direction for Xbox.

LEGO Horizon Adventures may have some flaws when compared to other titles in the LEGO franchise, but it fulfills its main purpose well: to entertain. The game is a great gateway for casual players and children to explore the Horizon universe.

Firewatch is a masterpiece in the walking simulator genre and is a must-try for anyone looking for something more introspective. If you're going to give it a try, get ready for it to be added to your best games list.

Everyone has their own controversial opinion, and this is mine! Yes, Miles Morales is better than the original! Despite being shorter than the first Spider-Man and obviously having less content, Miles Morales offers a more concise experience, taking full advantage of everything it has to offer. One of the best hero games I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage is one of the most fun and laid-back titles I've played this year. Experiences like this put a smile on my face and remind me of the times when video games were just about having fun. The fact that the game is a hack 'n' slash also made it win my heart, since it's a genre that I love but is in a steady decline lately. Add that to the charismatic group of characters and a surprising story, and we have a solid game.

Kunitsu-Gami was a pleasant surprise. The combination of tower defense and action is innovative and fun. The art is certainly the highlight and will stay with you long after you finish the game. Capcom got it right, and I hope this is just the beginning of a new experimental era for the company.

Gestalt: Steam & Cinder could be just another metroidvania, but it goes much further than that. It manages to maintain solid gameplay tied to an intriguing story. Highly recommended.

Despite its fun factor, Concord makes mistakes in the basics of the hero shooter genre and is far from being a memorable game. Add to that Sony's poor strategy of charging for the game and you have the reason why it didn't do so well commercially. We'll wait and see what the future holds for Concord.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage achieved what it wanted: to appeal to the nostalgia of the first title in the franchise. Linearity, focus on stealth, a more closed map and a shorter campaign, all refer to the first game. However, just like back in 2007, it lacked more care and polish. The experience will certainly please those who miss the old vibe of the franchise, but it may not be a very memorable experience.

It's a fast-paced, action-packed game, but unfortunately it suffers from repetitiveness. Despite this, it's still a highly recommended game!

RKGK / Rakugaki, in the end, is a good game, but nothing much more than that. It needed to take more risks to make RKGK a true standout among games of the genre, despite the positive experience. But it was a good start for the Mexican studio's debut.

The Hungry Lamb delivers a solid narrative with well-developed characters and excellent voice acting. The themes are historically accurate, showcasing the developers' knowledge and love for their country's history. However, it's clear that this visual novel may not be for everyone, as it contains themes like cannibalism, human trafficking, and even a child-adult flirtation scene – something entirely unnecessary. That said, the story is good, but if you're interested, proceed with caution and keep the heavy themes in mind.

I can finally say it: Forza Horizon has competition, and serious competition at that. The Crew Motorfest came in strong, offering an amazing map paired with highly satisfying gameplay and excellent visual presentation. Ivory Tower has finally hit the sweet spot for its franchise, and I sincerely hope they continue on this path, as the future of The Crew looks incredibly bright.

Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is a well-deserved and worthy sequel. Ninja Theory has delivered a spectacular narrative, just like its predecessor, along with cutting-edge technical quality, featuring otherworldly graphics and an incredible Nordic-inspired soundtrack. I did miss more gameplay moments, with greater combat depth and a few more puzzles, as in the first game, but these points don’t detract from how amazing Hellblade II is.

Mullet MadJack is, without a doubt, the best experience I've had in 2024 up until the moment I'm writing this review. I already knew I could expect good things from the game, since frenetic boomer shooters are a type of game I love passionately, but I didn't expect it to click so well with me. Its criticisms of the system, the retrowave aesthetic with anime influences, and the synthwave soundtrack fit together masterfully, creating an incredible experience that you don't see every day. Now, I want a mullet.

Dying Light 2 is clearly inferior to its predecessor. Its story fails to excite, with disappointing characters and a soulless, depressing city that stands in stark contrast to Harran from Dying Light 1. However, the game excels brilliantly in gameplay, being even more enjoyable and fluid than the first, both in parkour and combat. For those seeking a deep post-apocalyptic experience, it’s important to note that this won’t be found here, but it’s still possible to have fun.

Evil West doesn’t bring significant innovations and has its issues, but it excels in fulfilling what games are meant to do: provide fun for the player. Its combat is extremely satisfying and filled with challenging moments, and when combined with the charismatic characters encountered throughout the campaign, it results in a simple yet enjoyable formula. While it may lack polish in some areas, the overall experience is solid.

The final verdict, after all this, is quite clear: we have here one of the hidden gems of the original Xbox. Its concepts make it a completely unique game, an experience that, unfortunately, no one has managed to replicate to this day. Phantom Dust excels in almost every aspect and offers an experience far ahead of its time. Microsoft has a gem in its hands that just needs a little care to shine once more.

Arzette is proof that anything can serve as inspiration, even if that inspiration comes from one of the worst games in the history of one of the most respected video game franchises. A meme that turned into a fun and charming game. It left me wanting more, and I eagerly await a sequel in the future.

Notice that Suicide Squad constantly found its balance points: the story is simple, but the characters are incredibly well-crafted. The graphics aren’t impressive, but the facial expressions are outstanding. The gameplay gets tiresome over time, but it’s fun. In the end, the game that seemed destined to be a disaster turned out to be a good experience. I believe that without the GaaS model, with a less repetitive gameplay structure and a more tightly written story, Suicide Squad could have reached greater heights. However, the final result was still positive.
