This time, Obsidian has created a smaller, more focused RPG experience, and they absolutely nailed it. Your character truly feels like your own and playing as a godlike of an unknown deity is a fascinating premise. Best of all, the game succeeds of being both great and highly entertaining, and it’s so addictive that it’s hard to put down. I wouldn’t compare Avowed to Skyrim or anything else really, because the game manages to feel like its own unique thing, and it is designed to be played time and time again.
