Schrödinger's Call is one of the few games that prioritize dialogue over spectacle, which makes listening feel valuable. Characters from the book are still felt long after the last phone call.

4.1 / 5.0 - Yerba Buena
May 31, 2026

Yerba Buena ends up seeming like an ambitious indie project that tests its technical limits. Some ideas work brilliantly. Others fail due to poor execution or tempo. But the game’s cleverness helps it through many of its issues. Beneath the tedious scanning mechanics, inconsistent problem design, and lousy presentation lurks a smart puzzle adventure full of innovation and innovative notions.

3.9 / 5.0 - NITRO GEN OMEGA
May 26, 2026

NITRO GEN OMEGA is a very unusual strategy RPG that will make you think outside of the box while creating emotional relationships with your teammates. If you enjoy mecha anime and complex tactical systems, then this game is absolutely for you, but it is not for everyone, especially if you like easier or quicker-paced RPGs.

3.9 / 5.0 - Wax Heads
May 18, 2026

Wax Heads is a memorable and emotionally satisfying experience. The pace slows down sometimes, and the game's systems don't always have real-world effects, but the atmosphere, characters, music, and authenticity always make the experience better. Repeater Records feels less like a made-up place and more like a real place you spent time in by the end of the game.

4 / 5.0 - Mixtape
May 8, 2026

Mixtape is successful because it fully embraces who it is. It knows it's an emotional, music-driven experience, all about mood and memories, and it doesn't change its mind very often. In the end, Mixtape doesn't feel much like a normal video game. It's more like finding an old box of memories in the back of a room and opening it again.

3.5 / 5.0 - Samson
Apr 28, 2026

Samson is a game about how different things are. It has strong ideas, an interesting atmosphere, and a clear goal. But it doesn't work because of poor technique, excessive repetition, and a lack of an ending. It looks like this project needed more time to reach its full potential.

4.3 / 5.0 - ChainStaff
Apr 9, 2026

The best thing about the game is the ChainStaff system, which gives players many options for movement, combat, and exploration. In addition to creative level design, fun boss fights, and a unique art style, it makes for a consistently fascinating gaming experience.

70 / 100 - Mirage 7
Mar 5, 2026

The action in Mirage 7 isn't very different, and the puzzles can slow down the game sometimes, but these flaws never completely overpower the game's strengths. Because it cares more about mood and creativity than about flash, Mirage 7 is a thoughtful independent adventure game.

85 / 100 - Scarlet Hollow
Feb 13, 2026

The thing that makes Scarlet Hollow unique from other visual novels is that it cares about what happens, not because it changes the genre in a dry way. A lot of games are said to have choices that matter. That promise doesn't stand for very many people. Tone is important in this case. It's important to be consistent. In many ways, relationships change over time.

The thing that makes ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard stand out is that it really gets its idea across. The multiverse angle gives writers more freedom with chamber themes. It adds strange elements that fit well with the show's origins in a lab. The game doesn't try to hide the fact that it takes place in just one business testing center; it knows it could be a story and goes beyond that.
