Quantum Break makes some amazing innovations in the gaming industry with the live-action TV show, unique and original powers and abilities, and beautifully designed set pieces and the levels built around them. However, the story leaves a lot to be desired, the abundance of video game tropes thrown in your face is way overboard, and the controls for telling Jack where to go really need some tweaking. However, it's still worth the ride.
If you have yet to play Resident Evil 6, now is the time to do so. If you have already played it and didn't like it much, this version will not change your mind.
Hitman Episode 2: Sapienza builds upon what Paris' foundation laid out. A sprawling world crawling with tons to do and good replay value.
If you can only play one game this year, it should be Uncharted 4. The pinnacle of the series, it offers that magical sense of discovering and jaw-dropping awe like no other game so far this generation.
Shadow of the Beast is a passion project that works and runs really well. It still manages to somehow hold that classic platformer feel and style.
Hitman is definitely the stealth action game it was promised, and turning the series episodic has really upped how each new chapter is turning out.
This is definitely a game for fans of any age. There was a lot of love put into it with great detail to its gameplay design.
The game is a good experience for those looking to get a new platformer since they seem to be so few and far between. Just don't expect anything substantial besides the great humor surrounding this interesting world.
You'll find out while deep under the sea, that this adventure should have remained on shore. With uninteresting puzzles and mixed controls, you may want to think twice,
This game will have its players enjoying the experience from beginning to end with a smile over their faces.
I Am Setsuna adds a lot of value to our memories and shows us just how far these games have progressed over the decades. But the lack of momentum and good controls hold it back from greatness.
This visually stunning game is a great concept that never really gets to the point the developers may have intended. With an overly abstract story, uncomfortable controls, and not much to do but look at things, there isn't much left for players beyond the casual type.
Hitman Episode 4: Bangkok takes a few steps backwards compared to the previous episodes.
Resident Evil 4 holds its crown as the best game in the series. A great voice cast can't always cover up some awkward story moments, but the atmosphere and experience alone should have almost everyone playing this game sometime in his or her life.
You won't find much in Earthlock that you haven't seen in hundreds of other RPGs, but there is a charm here that you may just want to be a part of.
If it wasn't for the extreme bugs and flaws that shroud ReCore this would be one of the best games I've played so far this generation. The good outweighs the bad. I hope for its success because this new IP deserves to be an ongoing franchise for everything new it brought to the table.
With not a whole lot going on besides grinding for resources, trying to catch the bus, and ending up doing it all over again, this game will not hold your interest for more than a few days.
Dead Rising: Triple Pack is a decent packaging of the original three games but there is no reason to revisit this if you have already played the original ones.
This is a game for the fans. If you loved the previous episodes you'll love this one.
Episode 6 proves to be one of the best episodes in the season and really places its mark on the entire series with a fitting end.
