Shadow of the Tomb Raider brings a satisfying close to the trilogy that set out to tell Lara Croft's origin story. The game features fewer action and gunplay set pieces, but that didn't bother me, as the deeper environmental exploration—heavily reminiscent of the franchise's earliest entries—more than made up for the shift.

As a point-and-click game, I expected to find broader options for environmental interactions. Since the areas aren't particularly large to begin with, almost every action available in a given location is tied directly to the main objective. Taking all these factors into account, the title delivers an experience inferior to what was seen in the first two seasons of The Walking Dead.
