Dragon Quest XI on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers exactly what JRPG fans are looking for. If you enjoy immersing yourself in epic stories and exploring a rich world, this is a fantastic experience. However, if you have already invested dozens of hours on the previous console, the lack of save transfer and the game’s price will certainly make it harder to justify paying full price for this journey.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice on Nintendo Switch 2 stumbles in its story mode cutscene presentation, the unjustifiable absence of the Portuguese language, certain graphical aspects, and slow online matchmaking. While those bothered by these issues might want to wait for updates to improve the overall experience, for players seeking stability, a large roster of characters, combos, and the anime’s unique feel, the heroes are already ready for action.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers some of the key elements soulslike fans are looking for: addictive combat and deep progression systems. If you enjoy creating builds and mastering gameplay mechanics, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. However, if you value an engaging story or expect consistently solid technical performance, especially important for this type of game, the performance issues and shallow narrative will be clear obstacles throughout your journey.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a game of contrasts. I would hardly recommend it to fans of the franchise who aren’t fighting game enthusiasts; the lack of Portuguese voice acting, the almost static presentation of the story mode, and the high difficulty will quickly frustrate casual players. On the other hand, I would easily recommend it to those who are dedicated fighting game fans and enjoy diving deep into exploring every possibility with each of the limited number of characters available. If you have the patience to take a beating online until you master the mechanics, the magic of bending is there—it simply requires a lot of effort to truly master.
