Critic Reviews for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Complete Edition is, without a doubt, the ultimate form of Team Ninja's soulslike series. It's just a shame that no attempt has been made to make this edition more accessible for a new player and to explain the game's complexities more clearly. Still, if you wanted things easy, then you wouldn't want Wo Long.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is the best option for those who are still interested in playing Team Ninja's great action RPG.

Although Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Excells in combat and bossfights, classic Team Ninja issues, from repetitive mission design to sporadic balancing issues are still present. It's apparent that Wo Long can't reach the quality or success of Nioh franchise, but that being said, it's still a quite solid soulslike experience. on the other hand, DLCs provide a decent experience on top of the main game, though it goes without saying that you shouldn't expect anything groundbreaking.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition embarks on an ambitious yet flawed Souls-Like journey. While the engaging combat system, captivating RPG elements, and impressive aesthetics shine through, they are hindered by a lack of difficulty balance, a rushed narrative conclusion, and notable technical issues. It is imperative for the developers to address these performance issues promptly, elevating the game to the standard expected with its price tag and ensuring a more enjoyable and stable experience for players eager to immerse themselves in the world of Wo Long.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is a complete package and a particularly good introduction to the soulslike genre. Unfortunately, the game feels a bit outdated here and there with the individual levels. Fortunately, the game plays well, the bosses look very cool and the game gives the player a lot of extra options to defeat the challenging bosses. You will encounter few surprises here, especially in the level design, and with the expansions you will have to put in quite a few hours to complete the game. Team Ninja will release Rise of the Ronin at the beginning of this year and this is a nice game in the same style to pick up in the meantime.

This souls-like is a phenomenal addition to the genre. If you then consider the included DLC, the online action, and the interesting morale system, it offers plenty of food for thought. On top of this, I liked the occasionally forgiving mechanics that juxtapose some of the harsh realities of these titles. Subsequently, I love it and I recommend buying it here!
