It’s hard not to be happy about Torneko's Mystery Dungeon finally becoming available to play on modern platforms. After all, the game is a major historical milestone for both the Dragon Quest franchise and the Mystery Dungeon series as a whole. However, when judged purely as a video game, the adventure clearly shows its age, and this “Classic HD” version could have done more to modernize the experience and attract new fans. It’s an excellent choice for a very specific audience. If you’re part of that audience, you can jump in without hesitation. Otherwise, you’re probably better off sticking with more recent entries in the franchise.

Star Wars Zero Company joins the ranks of the best Star Wars games ever made, standing alongside Jedi: Fallen Order, KOTOR, Battlefront II (the original), and Episode I Racer. The story is fun and packed with clever references to the franchise, the characters are excellent, and the gameplay loop is fantastic, perfectly capturing that “just one more mission” feeling. The soundtrack is great, and the game’s audio is incredibly crisp. It’s great for anyone simply looking for a good tactical game, and exceptional for fans of that galaxy far, far away.
