Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon -Classic HD- is almost a 1:1 port of the original Super Famicom version. The visuals were revamped, and there are a few new quality-of-life and accessibility options, but the gameplay experience is largely the same, for better or worse.

Though it has plenty to offer those who want to see the game credited with starting the Mystery Dungeon genre, it may feel a little too traditional for modern gamers. Nonetheless, Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko's Mystery Dungeon is a challenging game with plenty of replayability, but only if you can handle the randomness of it all.
If you’re the type of person who loves old-school challenges, strategic decision making, and isn’t turned off by the risk of losing everything and starting over again you’ll find a lot of enjoyment here. Just make sure you know what you’re getting into, because one more run may just turn into 1,000.
