Setting the server problems aside, The Division is satisfying at best. However, the game also gives you a lot of things to do in your first few levels below 10 which made the game's pace a little slow. The Dark Zone, cooperative missions, and a lot of things to discover would be the primary reasons why you will be back in the streets of Manhattan. This is the type of game where online open-world shooter players and MMO lovers will enjoy.
Grow Home is a masterpiece that gives out a strong core mechanics as a platform game that can make you play the game out its charm despite its lack of narrative, replay value, and dull dialogue.
Episode 2: The Pact touches the subject of Bruce Wayne entering the criminal world like his father in the past, developing an intimate relationship with John Doe pushes the plot direction to a lot of possibilities in the succeeding events. While The Pact didn’t have a big bang in the ending, I am still exciting for what is to come in Episode 3: The Fractured Mask.
I do love a game that puts up a challenge, and for that, Hitman Episode 5: Colorado didn’t disappoint. There will be times that I get bored with stealth games, but this episode puts my mind and strategy into a test.
Overall, Firewatch is a game you want to spend time in if you just want pure conversation and story. The narrative is what makes this game great even if it's a 5 to 7 hours of gameplay. And if you want to have pure adult-rated amusing conversations and jaw-dropping views of landscapes, then Firewatch is the game you definitely need to try out.
Despite the lack of introducing new mechanics to set off the mid-season, Telltale Games took the helm with its narrative direction for Episode 3: The Fractured Mask. It’s a good way to spice things up as we get closer to the season finale, and hopefully, the next episode would not screw this momentum up.
Star Wars Battlefront II is a complete experience unlike its predecessor. Despite the undelivered single-player campaign in terms of gameplay, the story was grand, magnificent, and well written! And even though it's riddled with microtransactions and loot crates, Star Wars Battlefront II delivered one of the best and smoothest multiplayer experience I've had this year, and I'm certainly satisfied.
In the end, RiME is a beautiful piece and I loved every second I spent in this magical game. It’s an emotional adventure, and that’s what it makes RiME a stunning title despite the performance issues it has.
Destiny 2 might not be a perfect MMO shooter, but it is one engaging experience if you give it chance. Well done Bungie, you never fail to disappoint.
The New World Order at the beginning can be uninteresting and dull without any flavor because of the poor intro sequence; this, however, changes along the way. The episode starts to be engaging at the first few acts slowly, and leaves you at a very interesting cliffhanger that makes you want Episode 4: Guardian of Gotham to come out sooner.
The lovely campaign, great character development, improved driving, the beautiful virtual San Francisco, and the interesting gameplay mechanics made Watch Dogs 2 one hell of an open-world experience. The story may not standout but it’s a far better plot than the first Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs 2 is inventive and amazing! A sequel worth playing.
This first episode of their Batman story is full of Bruce Wayne than Batman. Surely, it makes the others think that it wouldn’t be wise to have more Batman gameplay as it’s not an action-button smashing game, but I’d rather look to into a point of view where Bruce Wayne has started his journey as the Dark Knight and the origins of his arch-enemies. It’s a great episode to start, Realm of Shadows shows the potential of Telltale’s Batman story and surely the next episode is something we don’t want to miss.
I like how Guerilla Games went to a path that Killzone: Shadow Fall has taken. It was not your ordinary shooter game that you run and shoot, but a first-person shooter that gives out some diversity in its formula. Killzone: Shadow Fall never failed to deliver what a next-generation title should be, and it's still worth it to play today.
As Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is considered to be a prologue, the game only takes about 20 minutes to complete, bringing out what we should expect in the upcoming The Phantom Pain. With the Big Boss story arc in place once again, we will inevitably know how the Patriots are built.
With all awesomeness and exciting gameplay of Trackmania Turbo, it is your type of racing game where you get to be hooked up again to just play and beat those damn scores. You want to be best in the world or in your country? Then be sure to get into the driver's seat and fasten your seatbelt as this will be one hell of a ride!
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora deserves recognition for staying faithful to its source material. Fans of the Avatar franchise will love what Massive Entertainment created. Despite the flat and predictable story, I enjoyed the significant amount of content it offered, plus the co-op feature where I got to experience the entire campaign with my wife. Frontiers of Pandora showcased the beautiful world created in the Avatar universe by James Cameron perfectly, its incredible flora and fauna, and the scenic views from atop the Hallelujah Mountains.
Forza Motorsport shines and takes the top place on the podium. With the sheer amount of cars, and the amazing race tracks it initially offers, race sim fans and newcomers will find Forza Motorsport inviting and fun.
Over the past week, I immensely enjoyed my time with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. There's no doubt Survivor is a great follow-up to 2019's Fallen Order. With the game's significantly refined combat gameplay, expansive areas, and a decent story, you will enjoy what Survivor has in store, whether you're a Star Wars fan or a casual gamer looking to experience a solid Star Wars game despite its technical flaws. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is definitely strong with the Force!
Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed may not be the perfect polished game out there, but the persistent open world you get to explore and the chaos you bring to mankind are nothing but exquisite and entertaining. If it wasn’t for the mission glitch and minor polish issues, I would have given the game an 11/10! I had fun with Reprobed and will definitely love to see a much more fitting sequel than Big Willy Unleashed and Path of the Furon from Black Forest Games.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is another exciting PS5 exclusive that showcases the console’s spectacular power. Backed with impressive voice actors, an entertaining narrative, and marvelous weapons and combat, Rift Apart is still a system seller despite the underwhelming Rivet gameplay.
