Gareth von Kallenbach's Reviews
The game is a perfect example of enhancing a classic original while maintaining all of the aspects that defined the game from the start. I cannot recommend this game enough for fans of the original and those who love a dark Cyberpunk adventure.
Fans of the series will not want to miss this delightful adventure, as it is perfect for families to enjoy along with younger gamers.
I am trying to avoid spoilers for the game, but like their Until Dawn and The Quarry games, I was happy to see and play another great title from Supermassive Games, as it is one that players will not want to miss.
While a multiplayer mode and co-op would be great, those looking for a fun and at times challenging game will likely find lots to enjoy with the final product.
The game offers plenty of side missions as well as a free-roam style that allows for lots of play after completing the main story, and also allows players to spend time with some costumes and ability variants.
The missions offer horror fans some fun moments, and it remains an engaging diversion and an ideal way to pass the time with friends or other gamers you have matched with.
While timed jumps are not my forte, I found myself drawn into the action and learning the timing of the game.
As the levels grew, I remembered how much fun my wife had with the original, and I found myself caught up anew in this great new version.
The game is an enhancement on the original and lots of fun as long as you accept it for what it is and enjoy the ride.
From the visuals to the sounds and loaded rosters of teams, the game is a winner and one that fans of the game and series will not want to miss.
The challenge increases with each level,l and the comic visuals and story elements make the game an ideal adventure for the entire family.
While the combat mechanics at times seemed a bit dated and clunky, the final product gets more than enough right to be a very worthy entry in the series and one well worth your time if you are a fan of the series and this type of gameplay.
In the end; Killing Floor 3 gives fans more of what they expect from the series and despite some bugs; delivers enough fun to make it worth your time.
The missions are fun but not overly complex, and do rely on teamwork to accomplish the tasks and make it back to the elevator in one piece. Some may long for more polish and complexity but the game provides escapist entertainment and as such it is easier to overlook the flaws and simply enjoy the action.
Visually impressive, with gory and intense action, makes for a compelling game and one of the better releases of the year.
Tempest Rising is a must-own for fans of Command and Conquer and RTS games and I cannot wait to see what they do next.
No matter how you opt to play; the game offers numerous main and side missions and will provide hours of solid gameplay that will keep fans hooked.
Graphically the game shines and the audio in the game is a real treat. From the commentary by the announcers to the crowd reactions and ball sounds; you are immersed in the game from the get go.
While the technical issues held the game back for me, there was enough action and adventure to say that collectors and fans of the series may want to take a look at this new set but hardcore gamers may have different expectations and be disappointed.
It is a fun and engaging title that provides a great blend of action and adventure that fans of all ages can enjoy and is a very fun gaming experience at times.
