While I doubt this will blow up in the same way the originals did, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training for Nintendo Switch retains a lot of what was so good about the original games, with their universal appeal and focus on short bursts of training that don’t outstay their welcome.

There are better Final Fantasy remasters and remakes on all the platforms this is out on, and your time would be better spent with any of them.

Without any unique selling points or cool trappings and additional content, I can’t recommend buying this collection.

Lethal VR is a simple arcade experience that’s probably best tried on the HTC Vive. The PS VR experience, while offering some cool challenges and the ability to try out a bunch of different weapons in VR with PlayStation Move, is lumbered with tracking issues and a short overall length. If these issues can be patched out, it may be worth a pick-up to see what 1:1 gunplay is all about in VR.

When the gameplay fails to hold your interest, and the presentation doesn't offer any impetus to continue, I find it hard to recommend Mighty No. 9.

Even ignoring performance issues and bugs, Cyberpunk 2077 is still a deeply flawed game, but there is a lot to like – from its rendition of Night City, to the breadth of its side content and the deep level of character customisation with perks and upgrades.

It’s definitely a disappointment compared to the new powers and trippy areas we received in the first part of Control’s season pass – The Foundation – and the new meat it throws to Alan Wake fans does little to resolve the character’s lingering narrative threads, but to set up new ones.

As part of a larger whole, the Wild Run content helps to make The Crew into the more complete experience it should have been, but by itself as DLC the price will likely be too high for all but the most devoted Crew fans.

While the effort is admirable, it makes quite a few sacrifices to get it all functional and working on Switch’s hardware

If this is able to re-establish the series with its new visual style on the Nintendo Switch, then I’d like where the series can go from here, with a modernised take on the formula.

While it doesn’t quite have enough tricks up its sleeve to remain engaging throughout its 40-hour main story, it’s still a creative, interesting new take on the franchise that’s worth a look for any fan after something a bit different.

Tying hard moral decisions to real gameplay in a compelling open-world RPG is an ambitious goal, and it’s one that Vampyr achieves to an extent.

Eagle Flight has actually kept my interest for far longer than many of the other PlayStation VR titles out near launch, and this is largely due to the good mechanics the developers have put in place to encourage replayability.

Fans of the Halo lore may have been hyped by the fact that Halo Wars 2 takes place post-Halo 5, meaning that chronologically it should further the overarching narrative currently taking place in the mainline games. However, this isn’t really the case – Halo Wars 2 is still firmly a side story, and seemingly takes no advantage of the new time period it takes place in.

Ultimately, Project X Zone 2 boils down to a healthy heaping of fan service for weebs, or anyone who's familiar with the franchises included. While the story can be slow and plodding, it also has some decent gags and a lot of self-awareness that helps drive each crossover encounter.
