I am an avid gamer that has an interest in RPGs. I prefer games that push the narrative in storytelling, something that was perfected by The Last of Us. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book is now available for the PS4 and PS Vita. It was developed by Gust Co. and published by Koei Tecmo. This review covers the PS4 version of the game.

Trials of the Blood Dragon is a great idea on paper but its execution here leaves a lot to be desired. As a successor to Blood Dragon, it ultimately has a lot of expectations from the fans but while it delivers on the aesthetics and style of Blood Dragon, it falls short in gameplay.

Resident Evil 5 returns on the PS4 and Xbox One with the most definitive edition of the game yet. It is choke full of content and carries a budget price tag, but unfortunately the technical issues make this port far from amazing.

As the third entry in the series, Zero Time Dilemma takes a lot of inspiration from the past games while lacking anything innovative to move the series forward. It is arguably a great game but it often feels less polished compared to its predecessors and the presentations suffers as a result.

Inside is, in many ways, a spiritual successor to Limbo. It reiterates on the formula and design established by Limbo and polishes it to perfection. The game is full of thought provoking puzzles and a narrative structure that requires you to think, while also highlighting the negative side of the human society.

I Am Setsuna is an interesting take on the classic JRPG genre. Tokyo RPG Factory has managed to take one of the best turn-based battle system from fan favorite Chrono Trigger and used it to create a simple but memorable experience that might satisfy the thirst of JRPG fans.

Shiren the Wanderer is one of the finest rogue-like mystery dungeon game in recent years. It features a challenging difficulty but with an addicting gameplay that results in the players spending countless hours in the game trying to get the best loot.

Hitman Episode 3 continues to offer interesting missions with multiple ways of tackling them, but also manages to retain its lingering issues. The third episode's increased challenge is welcome, though Marrakesh turns out to be a rather uneventful setting.

Resident Evil 4's latest re-release on the PS4 and Xbox One is the definitive way to play the game on consoles. If you have already played Resident Evil 4, you will still enjoy the updated resolution and frame rate. If you have never played the game, this is the best way to experience this game of the decade.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided offers the players the freedom to choose their own story. The gameplay shines through the use of augmentations and the story never takes itself lightly by focusing on the tension between humans and augmented humans. If you have enjoyed your time with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you shouldn't miss out on Adam Jensen's latest adventure.

Dead Rising Triple Pack offers the long time fans an opportunity to get back in the series. While there is not much of upgrade in term of visuals, the frame rate is dramatically improved, which results in a smoother experience overall.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters: Daybreak Special Gigs is a neat little update to the base game, but it doesn't really warrant its current price. At most, it could have worked well as an expansion to the base game, which unfortunately isn't the case here.

Dragon Quest Builders is a great action RPG at its core mixed with the world building and exploration aspects of Minecraft. It is an excellent spin-off from the Dragon Quest series that has an easy learning curve and should be a fun experience for everyone.

Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky feels like the spiritual successor to Valkyria Profile series, but without the added depth and complexity of the story and characters. Those who were hoping for a good action RPG can still have an enjoyable experience.

Yomawari: Night Alone features an interesting story premise which is somewhat held back by its repetitive gameplay. The survival horror aspects take inspiration from the old school games and the gorgeous art style makes the game visually appealing. It can be a fun experience if we can ignore its shortcomings.

World of Final Fantasy is one of Square Enix's finest RPG released this generation. It will please and delight the classic Final Fantasy fans but it is also developed for the newcomers who might have a great experience with the Mirage capturing and evolving mechanics. The turn-based battle system along with random encounters make a return here, and give us a nostalgic trip down the memory lane.
