Hail Satan.
8 / 10.0 - Bulb Boy
Oct 30, 2015

A pretty simple and straightforward point and click adventure, yet with an adorable, over the top personality. Absolutely irresistible if you love horror, kawaii and... toilet humor.

8.8 / 10.0 - Enter the Gungeon
Apr 5, 2016

A game that's clearly the product of passion, talent and dedication, Enter The Gungeon is an exciting twin stick shooter that mixes up elements ranging from The Binding of Isaac, Dark Souls and Ikaruga (among others...). The result is a delightful and sadistic cocktail that the most hardcore gamers will fall in love with, but also one that is definitely not for everyone.

8.8 / 10.0 - Abzu
Aug 2, 2016

A mesmerizing audiovisual triumph that will feel heavenly to your eyes and to your ears, unfortunately without warming your heart as much as you would expect. It probably won't leave you teary-eyed like Journey did, but it will still be a trip absolutely worth embarking for.

6.8 / 10.0 - Jotun
Sep 8, 2016

Considering the premise and the presentation, I sincerely expected more from Thora's Odyssey: the atmosphere might be there, the overall style might be fascinating and some ideas might be interesting, but that is not enough to truly impress the gods when the core gameplay is a bit lacking and never fully satisfying.

9 / 10.0 - Rive
Sep 15, 2016

Furious and reckless action, tricky jumps and a crazy amount of bullets: if you're an hardcore enthusiast who loved the 16-Bit era and if you're in for a real challenge, do yourself a favor and give a chance to Rive... You won't regret it.

8.6 / 10.0 - Gears of War 4
Oct 6, 2016

Gears of War is back with a very solid entry in the beloved franchise: the lack of courage and the apparent fear of taking risks prevents Gears of War 4 from entering the absolute gotha of the genre, yet with its compelling campaign and the usual, stellar multiplayer, this remains one hell of a ride.

The truth is pretty simple: PlayStation VR Worlds should have been included for free along with every PlayStation VR unit sold, in order to introduce people to the wonders of Virtual Reality. Under those conditions, this decent example of simple and disposable fun would have made a lot more sense (after all, as they say, "you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth"). At 39.99€ it becomes harder to recommend this hit & miss compilation.

9.5 / 10.0 - Rez Infinite
Oct 14, 2016

The breathtaking return of a timeless masterpiece, that thanks to VR support becomes a mesmerizing lucid dream. Simply put, pure digital ecstasy: from now on, I'll never be able to play Rez in any other way.

9.2 / 10.0 - Thumper
Oct 18, 2016

Thumper is far more than a simple, stunning rhythm game: it's an astonishing vertigo at crazy speed that messes up with your brain in a kaleidoscope of psychedelic colors and industrial tunes, an unforgettable trip into a sinister and mesmerizing dimension that thanks to PlayStation VR becomes real. Simply put, an instant classic.

Unfortunately Robinson: The Journey is not the next big thing on the VR scene: despite the premise and the efforts, Crytek was not able to create a convincing blend of a traditional adventure game with a full blown VR experience. In the end, this prehistoric space safari will probably somehow entertain you, without however being as mindblowing and groundbreaking as you might expect. Give it a chance if you dig the idea, but without too many expectations and absolutely not at full price.

7.3 / 10.0 - Eagle Flight
Nov 22, 2016

Despite being a competent VR title (mainly thanks to its interesting controls) and a fascinatingly weird flying simulator, Eagly Flight ultimately lacks a bit of depth and structure. Which is honestly a pity, considering how entertaining is to actually fly around a wasted Paris reclaimed by Mother Nature.

7.8 / 10.0 - Snipperclips
Mar 7, 2017

A fun and clever multiplayer experience that would have been perfect if bundled with the console itself. It might lack that special spark of genius that could have turned Snipperclips into a cult classic, but it's still a fascinating and appealing way to show off your brand new Switch to anyone (gamer or not).

8.3 / 10.0 - Snake Pass
Apr 3, 2017

Snake Pass is currently my personal surprise of 2017: a platformer-that's-not-really-a-platformer with strong puzzle elements and a pretty irresistible approach, built with passion and wit around an unconventional concept. It's also a bizarre and surprisingly hardcore experiment overall, one that will make some players fall in love while irritating others: it won't please everyone, but its desire for something original is certainly commendable.

8.3 / 10.0 - Little Nightmares
Apr 21, 2017

A twisted fairy tale that dwells in the grotesque and in the macabre, Little Nightmares is a narrative platformer that you will eventually remember for its fascinating atmosphere (and its remarkable graphics and audio design) rather than for its gameplay.

8 / 10.0 - Puyo Puyo Tetris
Apr 24, 2017

Puyo Puyo Tetris is the not so trival encounter between two iconic puzzle game legends: a crossover full of options and possibilities that works well played alone, but becomes an absolute blast when played with friends (and therefore a perfect match for Nintendo Switch).

7.5 / 10.0 - Flinthook
May 2, 2017

Colorful, cheerful and fun, Flinthook is not only a joy to look at, but above all also a blast to play. Too bad for its uncompromising difficulty and its poor balancing, that prevent this roguelike-platformer from becoming the next cult classic on the indie scene.

8.7 / 10.0 - Farpoint
May 18, 2017

Farpoint is the perfect crossover between arcade light gun shooters à la The House of the Dead and old-school First Person Shooters. The result is a jaw-dropping experience that truly becomes unparalleled thanks to the power of VR and to the quality of the Aim Controller peripheral: this might be the first full blown traditional game 100% built around VR, and despite a few shortcomings you literally won't believe your eyes. In its own ways, Farpoint truly takes the shooter genre to a whole new level: if this is not a killer application, we're pretty close to that.

8.8 / 10.0 - RiME
May 25, 2017

A touching adventure that will be remembered for its stellar emotional value rather than for its (fairly good) gameplay: prepare some tissues because you're definitely gonna need them, as you'll experience one of the most memorable epilogues ever.

8.9 / 10.0 - Arms
Jun 6, 2017

Behind its wacky (and absolutely adorable) cartoony appearance, with its peculiar colorful appeal, its delightful cast of characters and its rubbery animations that somehow remind you of Splatoon, ARMS has the heart - and the brain - of a pure-bread fighting game. Deep, engaging, fascinating, fast and far from trivial, this beat'em up shows however one huge merit above its many undeniable virtues: it's a new, completely unique take on the genre, one that will be enjoyable for both fans and newcomers. Another hit for the Big N, scored with a surprising boomerang-punch.

8.2 / 10.0 - GoNNER
Jul 12, 2017

If you're looking for an honest - yet brutal - challenge and you're not afraid of getting lost in a quirky and abstract dimension, dive in and join the water drop Ikk in his procedural adventure: monsters, sweat, lots of swear words and many satisfactions will be waiting for you in this fierce platformer/shooter hybrid with a roguelike structure (one that actually works really well with the Nintendo Switch philosophy).
