Scarlet and Violet offer some great new ideas for the Pokémon franchise, ruined by a world that seems very rushed and unfinished.

Cuphead for Nintendo Switch is a completely successful experiment: the visual style, inspired by the 30s cartoons, combined with an absolutely ruthless and yet never frustrating gameplay, makes it beautifully both when enjoyed on the TV screen and in portable mode, which does not suffer at all from the miniaturization of the control system offered by the Joy-Cons. The game engine has been converted almost to perfection and only sporadically we have witnessed some slowdowns, probably attributable to individual loads following the countless deaths.

Ultimate: That is, definitive. A talking title, which does not lend itself to false modesty but is contemptuous and haughty, aware of the amount of absolutely overwhelming content that it puts on the plate.

A solid and fun adventure which can unite together new players and old fans of Kirby's. A great game to add on your Switch collection, that really shines in the 4-player coop mode.

A must-buy for any Alola first timer, but not-so-much for those already being Pokémon League Champions.

An overall enjoyable and easy to get experience which combines features from beat 'em up and party game genres. Kirby Battle Royale is very fun to play together with some friends via its local multiplayer, but the lack of variety for the included mini-games makes the single player soon boring, while the Online mode surprisingly presents some major technical issues.

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a great shooter that shines when played in local multiplayer, a feature really simple in the Switch version thanks to the two small Joy-Con mini-controllers. A game that deserve to be part of your game collection, despite a launch price maybe a bit high for a product already available a few months ago on other platforms.

Pokkén Tournament DX is a well made conversion which adds some interesting new features to the original game. Visually outstanding in portable mode, its fighting mechanics give a new twist to the genre.

Fire Emblem Gaiden was the most atypical chapter in the series, containing elements which were later abandoned in the future iterations of the franchise. Thanks to its renewed graphics and some features that make its gameplay less cumbersome and inflexible, Shadows of Valentia could be considered the sum of what Fire Emblem saga has proposed so far.

The most-funded RPG on Kickstarter history debuts with some broken promises, such as the lack of an Italian localization, which was among the goals achieved by the software house. While offering a great adventure set in a huge fantasy world, the Xbox One version of Torment: Tides of Numenera lacks of stability and has several technical issues that can ruin the game experience.

1-2-Switch is a great tech demo that shows what Nintendo Switch is really capable of. The 28 different minigames are easy to use and enjoyable, but only if you can count on a group of friends to play with. The launch price is perhaps too much expensive for a product that should have been included in bundle with the console, an issue that will probably prevent Nintendo from achieving the same success achieved by Wii Sports and Nintendo Land, which were included respectively with Wii and Wii U.
