Genesis Noir is a sublime trip through the history of the universe. Feral Cat Den did a terrific job in terms of balancing scientific premises and mythic consequences developing a linear, but visionary, point and click experience, whose only little sin is to indulge sometimes in its own beauty.

Fun and entertaining, John Wick Hex hits the target and successfully transforms the hectic action of the movie saga in a brilliant boardgame-like strategic game with a great level design and an intriguing twist. The time management mechanic is crucial, intense and demanding, but quite fair and when dominated give a lot of satisfaction. Sometimes the difficulty curve is not well balanced and, overall, it lacks of the last touch to shine, but it's a solid good game, made with style and care.

Project CARS 3 says goodbye to the ambition of being a full sim and drives fast to a safe simcade haven, made of an old-style career mode, car porn and linear progression. It works, it's a fun solid experience and in multiplayer even shines, but somehow the new identity struggles a little bit to find a proper balance.

Despite relying on the well-established and fashionable 80's pop culture, Crossing Souls is literally good for the soul, and there's much more beyond its simple nostalgic approach. F1 22 is amazing on track, delivering great fun and thrilling action to all F1 fans. Physics and the new driving model, even if through the usual simcade lens, stage unpredictable and intense races. On the other hand, F1 Life and Supercar are shallow addition, very far from Codemasters standards in terms of quality and attention to the details. Overall, the New Era of F1 is brilliant of track, while not-so-new in terms of experience outside the paddock.

Riders Republic is a high-octane ode to joy. An almost perfect extreme sports theme-park open world where having fun is the only thing that matters. Despite a confusing progression and some little hiccups camera and controlwise, Ubisoft Annecy brought in the best part of Steep, The Crew 2 and a bit of punk attitude to create a versatile and compelling experience, even if sometimes a bit too much overwhelming.

NBA 2K22 shines on the court, while struggles in the city. Visual Concepts did a great job getting back on the right steps its basket simulation, and the new shooting system feels good, the new defensive AI is tough and, overall, everything is in the right spot. The new MMORPG-like MyCareer is an ambitious and enormous attempt to maximize the retention of the players. Well, it tries hard, but it doesn't succeeds.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a clever, stylish and faithful remake of a cult game, which 18 years later, is still powerful lesson of how to tell a story in an open world. FIFA 23 is the perfect goodbye party for the EA Sports franchise. HyperMotion 2.0 is brilliant in portraying intensity, dynamism and hi-tense rhythm football. The gameplay is hectic and engaging, even though quite unbalanced in terms of offensive/defensive action and the goalkeepers AI is quite questionable. If you like offensive football and epic individual duels, FIFA 23 will provide hours of fun both in single and multiplayer, while the "new" Ultimate Teams works great.

Fall Guys is a crazy and cozy take of the battle royale concept. Mediatonic did a brillaint job to create a social platform with 11 hectic event, with the classic "easy to learn, hard to master" party gameplay. If the British studio will keep to support the game with new contents, it has the chance to become a proper classic.

Road to Olympics is a sincere, passionate and compelling love letter to the Olympic spirt. It's not a proper game about Pyeongchang Winter Games but rather a Steep-style take on them, with a fresh and intense game campaign, an amazing new mountain to explore and a lot of challenges to take. Football Manager 2018 is a bigger, deeper and more complex episode of the saga. The best football universe simulation features a lot of new mechanics which give to the managers the chance to feel, manage and understand even better their teams. The evolution is amazing, but lacks of a real update to the UI, too old and chaotic, a little bit of polishing, with some dynamics which need to be fixed with the upcoming updates, and some issues in terms of hardware optimisation.

Last Day of June is an intimate and moving adventure, yet elegant and sophisticated. Albeit a linear structure and some minor gameplay flaws, it's a game that tells an extremely human story, with some unexpected surprises, and where the gameplay drives the narrative. A shining example of how videogames can be an authentic expression of emotions.

MotoGP 21 is a consistent and solid racing experience, which gives the joy to ride just become better and better on the track. For the first time in the series, it's even a little bit more gentle with rookies and newcomers, thanks to a tutorial and a better help system. It lacks only of narrative dimension which could help to express all the emotions of motorsport.
