Vampire The Masquerade Swansong sticks to the source material very closely, adding very little to distinguish itself from many other adventure games, except for some bugs and inconsistencies. Only suited for long time World of Darkness fans.

It's a shame that Deck13 new IP it's so generic and confusionary, because there are also bold new ideas in it. Nonetheless, as it is at the time of writing, Atlas Fallen is a by-the-book action RPG with a problematic targeting system and just a handful of open maps to explore, with so much better choices on the market.

Some good ideas and a deep love for the work of the immortal H.P. Lovecraft are not enough to recommend Source of Madness, since there are far better roguelites on all the platforms the game hit.

Dolmen bites far more than it can chew, trying to merge the melee combat of any From Software game with the gunplay of Remnant from The Ashes: the result is an average game that tries to accomplish too many things at once.

Egglia Rebirth in an inoffensive and relaxing little game, too easy and too shallow for old time JRPG aficionados, but suited for younger audiences and people who often play mobile games.

It's hard to recommend Disaster Report 4 Summer Memories to anyone that's not entirely into disaster movie and japanese culture. Ancient game design, technical issues and limited gameplay sink this game down.

Shining Resonance Refrain is a missed opportunity for Sega to bring its beloved JRPG series to the west in its better form. The remaster has several problems (both technical and structural), but can still deliver some fun to the hardcore aficionados.

This new version of Secret of Mana doesn't add anything important to this timeless classic, presenting the same strenghts and weaknesses of 25 years ago. It can still be fun with a couple fo friends on the same couch, but we won't recommend it over the Snes Classic Mini version of the original.

With Elex Piranha Bytes bited more than he could chew, unfortunately: the games is huge, and we're sure a great effort went into the storytelling and world building, but the combat system is just too clunky and the difficulty curve is off, too much to recommend it.

You get what you give with Kirby's Blowout Blast: a little sum of money for a little game, fun in short bursts but repetitive if played for long time, far too easy and with less than a couple of hours of gameplay.

The console version of Impact Winter is, on the whole, a more polished game than it was at the debut on PC, but its good ideas are still marred by a troublesome framerate and a good amount of small bugs and inconsistencies.

This is certainly nor the best work form Experience Inc. neither the best dungeon crawler available on PlaystationVita, but can be a good choice for the ones that already completed better titles such as Demon Gaze and Stranger of Sword City.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is just another musou, since Omega Force didn't apply to the base formula the changes that made both Attack on Titan and Dragon Quest Heroes better games. This is a more violent and slightly easier version of the latest installments in the Dynasty Warriors Franchise, so consider buying it only if you're a diehard fan of this type of game.

On the one hand, it might seem that there is nothing particularly wrong with the 145 new cards of the Festival of Legends, on the other hand the latest expansion of Hearthstone is stained perhaps with the most serious sin, that of having slipped into indifference just a month after launch, due to very few new archetypes introduced in the meta game and in the almost total absence of them in the most significant rungs of the ladder in Standard mode.

The choice to remaster the two Prinny spinoffs was puzzling to begin with, and, unfortunately, the remasters are puzzling too themselves, leaving a lot to be desired. Definitely wait for a sale for these ones.

Sand Land is both a good licensed games, since it relies heavily on fidelity to the source material and good dialogues, and a formulaic open world action rpg, with a static structure and bad AI. It can still appeal to al Toriyama fans, thanks to its love for the original manga, but all of the other players will surely find much better options in both the ARPG genre and in the open world one.

Crystar is not a particularly brilliant JRPg, but it's a decent one, with a good story and interesting characters. It's a pity, then, that the dungeon design is very bland and the combat system feels boring after ten or so hours.

It's a pity that Square Enix and Forever Entertainment had both settled for a (too) faithful remake of a game that was fascinating and difficult but also unbalanced and often unfair. Little things like new menus, new tutorials and a slew of QOL options could have made this a much better game overall. The way it is now, it's only recommended to hardcore long-time fans.

Elex II retains both the best qualities and the worst problems of its predecessor, but it's overall a better game. Still, it's hard to recommend it without qualms to anyone who hasn't played a Piranha Bytes rpg before.

While Square's effort to bring to modern console its old goodies is commendable, SaGa Frontier Remastered is just an average RPG with a few highs and just as many lows.
