8.7 / 10.0 - For Honor
Feb 17, 2017

Ubisoft’s For Honor is an enjoyable, visually stunning and gritty experience that might be a bit too original for its own good. Being such a niche genre might push away your normal players, and the singleplayer part might not be enough for someone to cough up $60. Nevertheless, with the right community management, a steady flow of updates, balancing and a ranked mode coming, it could become something great, like what happened with Rainbow Six Siege, 6 month after its launch. Who knows? But for now, give this title a chance as it’s a good one.

Too proud to be called an expansion pack of Uncharted 4, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a pretty decent adventure and addition to the franchise, with a believable duo of protagonists. Welcoming new ideas, such as more open world areas concealing lots of secrets, or a freedom of approach now generalized to almost all hostile areas, one will regret a sense of deja-vu in some action sequences, same bugs from the previous games, but nevertheless is still a great game, especially if you're hungry for more since Uncharted 4.

Assassin’s Creed is back in fantastic form, and Origins it’s a title that any fan of open-world adventure titles shouldn’t miss. Assassin’s Creed: Origins brings a lot of new ideas to a tried and tested formula, and while it downplays classic elements like stealth, it refines most of the core gameplay with expertise, creating a memorable experience.

While it’s tough to mix complex tactics with mainstream shooter mechanics, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands manages to offer up a tactical shooter that can appeal to a broad audience and still have something for the tactics aficionados. There’s a ton to see and do in their dystopian version of Bolivia, and it’s probably a good idea to bring a friend if you want to enjoy the game’s terrific online co-op.

8.6 / 10.0 - Furi
Jan 23, 2018

Furi is an energetic, challenging boss rush game with an entertaining (and at times frustrating) mix of shooting and melee combat. If you missed this great game on previous consoles or PC, then go ahead and plunge into Furi on Nintendo Switch, you won’t regret it.

Casually launched for the PlayStation VR, Ubisoft's Werewolves Within is probably a must for the console, as well as on PC via Steam and Oculus or HTC Vive. A great adaptation of a classic party game, combined with the VR experience and online interactivity makes this title a frantically hilarious experience.

Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice manages to immerse its players in a scary and dangerous world, and it manages to effectively put them in the shoes of its troubled protagonist. The game has some great action, but its story makes it a gripping adventure that has a surprisingly accurate take on mental illness

8.6 / 10.0 - Sine Mora EX
Sep 29, 2017

If you never played the original, Sine Mora EX is a great way to discover one of the most unique SHMUP from the past 10 years. While this remastered version has the merit of adding couple of extra features to appeal to the veterans, the game is still an easy sell thanks to its great gameplay mechanics, decent price tag and interesting universe.

Whether you're a fan or not, you'll probably dig a lot SteamWorld Dig 2 (all puns intended). Full of challenges and hidden treasures to find, there's a lot more to do than the first game, which will last you for a decent 20 hours or more.

While the classics can never be topped, DOOM gives us a solid ultraviolent shooter for the modern age. The PC and Xbox One version was already great, and the Nintendo Switch port now brings the Japanese console closer to a mature audience.

8.6 / 10.0 - Floor Kids
Dec 29, 2017

Floor Kids stands out in the rhythm game genre, thanks to its immense freedom with its fun yet complex gameplay that no other title has. Sure, Floor Kids could be blamed that it's a short singleplayer experience, but its multiplayer mode will be great with friends, and its artistic direction, soundtrack and price makes it a total buy for anyone that has the Nintendo Switch.

While Civilization VI on Nintendo Switch lacks online multiplayer, it's amazing to see how well it runs on the handheld console even with its limited technical abilities. With brilliantly adapted UI elements and controls for the Nintendo Switch, Civilization VI almost feel as native to the hybrid console as it is to the PC.

8.5 / 10.0 - Rocket League
Nov 16, 2017

If you need a simple and fun game, playable with friends whether at home or online and offering an original formula, Rocket League is a perfect pick on Nintendo Switch as long as you are not nitpicky about graphics. This weird and crazy merge between two easy theme - football and driving game - is a wonderful demonstration that simple ideas, when well treated, can yield excellent games. The games will flow, with good laughs, and award all hardcore gamers who will invest time to move forward and do good deeds. It lacks a bit of content and variety in the game modes, as well as a noticeable graphical difference between all four platforms, but I do believe the developers Psyonix will fix this easily.
