Forza Horizon 4 is a prime example of a complete racing title, and although the racing genre is not as popular as it once was, Horizon 4 still manages to raise the standards and present itself not only as the best entry in the Horizon series but as one of the best racing titles of all time. What we see today in Horizon 4, including both superb offline and online sections, incredible sound design for every single vehicle, and amazing visuals that is mixed with beautiful change of seasons, are all examples that other developers can use for their future titles.

God of War 4 is the new milestone in the series. Santa Monica made everything from scratch and the result is far beyond of great. From the gameplay to story and music, this is what we call the masterpiece. They made the new standard for the action-adventure genre. Basically, repeating a masterpiece is extremely difficult and to some extent impossible, and most numbered titles, whether in the medium of video games or cinema, lose their magic and sense of freshness after that first journey. RE4 Remake is without a doubt one of the best remakes ever made if not the best, and the fact that it remained so loyal to the core gameplay that was designed almost two decades ago shows what a marvelous job Capcom did back in 2005, and proves that if something is done proper, it can last forever.

After the release of Breath of the Wild back in 2017, the hype for the sequel was so extraordinarily high that many expected that Nintendo might fail to deliver; but those people were brutally proven wrong by the release of Tears of the Kingdom. At this point, Tears of the Kingdom is not just a video game; it's more of a benchmark or platform for other developers to look at and get inspiration and then probably fail to come even close to it.

The word "masterpiece" is definitely the only word that can be used to describe the second part of The Last of Us. In practice, there is nothing left to criticize. Part II has definitely been able to be a leader in all areas and complements the previous works of the studio and the first game The game's story line, with a different structure, expresses its story in a new way in the game industry, and as I mentioned, it also has many references to gender and religious issues, which may ultimately cause dissatisfaction among a group of its audience, but in practice it is definitely the result. Call of Duty is back to its former glory with this Modern Warfare reboot, and is easily the best military shooter out there. The single-player campaign is pure gold, although short as always, and the multi-player that the franchise is know for is back to give you an almost complete package. Forbidden West is a worthy sequel to the Horizon: Zero Down and builds up on an already solid action adventure and improves it in almost every possible way. The platforming gameplay could have been a bit deeper and the core story still offers nothing fresh, but nevertheless Forbidden West is definitely one of the best action adventures in recent years and one of the contenders for game of the year title.
