NEO: The World Ends With You does absolutely everything right and although the story loses its steam in some parts, the bombastic combat, lovable characters and the stylish visuals present one of the most unique experiences you can dive into.

7 / 10.0 - Eldest Souls
Jul 29, 2021

Eldest Souls is so hard that most of the times it feels unfair and there are so many passive unlockable choices in the game’s skill tree that don’t really help to ease your pain in an impactful way. It feels like the game wanted to go for fast paced combat but its hero is maybe a little too weak to wield his crazy big sword properly, so if you are OK with getting punished for entertainment, this is absolutely one of the best choices in the market.

The Forgotten City’s biggest asset is its intricate story with so many great twist and turns but as game made by a very small team, the graphics and voice acting are also surprisingly top notch. This is one of those great mods that has become an even better stand-alone game.

Jul 27, 2021

Frostpunk is one of the best strategy videogames of not only the recent years but maybe all times and now that the whole package is on consoles, it is a great time to experience this hellish ice storm.

Doing prequels for any well-established series is always very tricky but The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles manages to not only be very true to the franchise’s spirit prequel but also stand on its own as an exciting mystery adventure/visual novel videogame.

Re:Turn - One Way Trip doesn’t really add anything new to adventure games or horror stories but it is still a fun and short videogame with a very good visual style, a nice moody score and smart use of sound effects.

4 years ago, this was a fun cyberpunk/detective story and it’s a good thing that it still is as fun and as thrilling as when it first came out.

8 / 10.0 - Cris Tales
Jul 20, 2021

Cris Tales starts so good that It felt like it could be a GOTY contender, the gameplay mechanics are classic but feel new and complex enough without being confusing, the art style is a sight to behold and the characters are really charming but the use of random encounters and unbelievable number of times they hinder you progress, sucks some of the joy out of the game.

5 / 10.0 - Highrisers
Jul 18, 2021

The lackluster design of the UI has made Highrisers a pretty miserable and frustrating experience. This maybe could've worked better if it was turn-based or co-op or had AI-controlled companions. The art style is very nice though.
