9 / 10.0 - Frostpunk 2
Sep 18, 2024

Frostpunk 2 may not feel as personal as the previous game but it not only has kept the tense atmosphere we’ve come to expect from this series, it has also brought the scale to a whole new and unexpected level.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth may not be on the technological cutting edge side of video game development but it is on the peak of the side that actually matters: making fun, engaging and entertaining games. The last entry in this two decades old franchise is definitely a strong contender to be the best entry of the whole series!

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord provides the kind of power of fantasy and freedom that other games just promise in their marketing materials! You are free to be anything from a rogue bandit leader to a powerful merchant lord to a noble knight and more in an ever-changing world full of palace intrigue and backstabbing.

7 / 10.0 - Gotham Knights
Oct 22, 2022

The RPG elements doesn’t quite mix with the more straight-forward nature of superheroic adventures in a satisfying way and although the story starts with a great and shocking moment, it can’t always get the tone right and fumbles some of the important twists and dramatic beats. Gotham Knights had the potential to be a very different and even revolutionary title in the sea of superhero games but in the end it is just a mildly entertaining one.

8 / 10.0 - No More Heroes 3
Oct 6, 2022

No More Heroes III is exactly what No More Heroes was promised to be when it first came out about fifteen years ago and in an age when everything is supposed to be “modernized” or some other buzzword, this is one of those titles that should be championed for its authenticity and specific tone and style.

7 / 10.0 - Valkyrie Elysium
Oct 3, 2022

As Square Enix is going full steam ahead on their semi-back-to-basics plans, what we’ve got here could be a perfect foundation for a good AA franchise in the years to come but they have to fix some of the shortcomings like the visuals and the lackluster first of half the story which takes more than it needs to hit the proper notes.

6.5 / 10.0 - Soulstice
Sep 23, 2022

Soulstice doesn’t really bring much to the Crazy Stylized Action games table and the many components of its combat design don’t quite gel together that combined with its ancient camera system, makes many of the action moments a chore to play.

7 / 10.0 - Wayward Strand
Sep 15, 2022

Wayward Strand may not be the kind of adventure its unique location and teen journalist protagonist suggests but it has a humanistic emotional story at its heart that is made more memorable by its beautiful art style.

7 / 10.0 - Steelrising
Sep 7, 2022

Steelrising is a practical and mostly enjoyable souls-like title with enough of a new and innovative setting and art style to be worth checking out but it is an all-around different experience compared to older Spiders’ games which could be a little disappointing for some their older fans.

Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed is all about giving fans of an old franchise what they wanted and in this mission the developers are absolutely victorious but a bunch of technical problems could be a little annoying in the first days of the release until they are patched out.

6 / 10.0 - Saints Row
Aug 22, 2022

The new Saints Row is exactly what we expect to get from a title in this franchise, the crazy action, the juvenile humor and the abundance of everything purple! Problem is that all of this feels a little stale by today’s standards and considering how out there the two recent games before this were, it all also feels a little dialed back too, which may be disappointing for some of the older fans of the series that wanted to new game to get even more crazy.

8 / 10.0 - Thymesia
Aug 20, 2022

Using more classical elements of RPG genre has given Thymesia its own unique identity which in turn gives it an edge over the most souls-like titles but the design and atmosphere is still a little too similar to From Software products to make Thymesia a truly memorable experience.

8.5 / 10.0 - Soul Hackers 2
Aug 18, 2022

Soul Hackers 2 sits very comfortably in a place between both the main Shin Megami Tensei series and the Persona series while also putting its own unique spin on the ideas it is borrowing from those franchises which gives it an all new identity. This is yet another successful endeavor from Atlus which everyone should experience.

7.5 / 10.0 - Way of the Hunter
Aug 13, 2022

This is a very true to life video game for hunting enthusiasts who actually don’t want to kill animals in real life but some technical problems take the whole experience down a peg or two that sometimes makes you feel like that maybe Way of the Hunter needed a little more time in the oven.

7 / 10.0 - Arcade Paradise
Aug 11, 2022

If this was just an Arcade management game, it could’ve been one of the greats but the laundromat side of the business is tedious and unnecessarily time-consuming for the first few hours that makes you even hate Arcade Paradise in the beginning.
