Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is a unique, sometimes earth-shattering experience. It doesn’t get everything right but it’s the nearest you’ll ever want to get to an earthquake and that works for me.
Filled with quirky 90s cheese, engaging characters, and some fantastic animation, Murder by numbers is the sort of case file that goes above and beyond the line of duty.
If you are looking for a deep interactive narrative and a complex gameplay loop then I’d also advise you to pass on this. Like Ape Out or Redeemer, the core gameplay loop here is about cathartic fun and creative destruction. The environmental objects, changing challenges, and chaotic action mean that while there is only one button to attack, that rarely gets old
Mixing fitness and fun, this VB boxing gym throws the light swords out and takes on the rhythm genre with gusto. A great, if limited, soundtrack, a range of classes, and some serious full body movement make this a fantastic alternative to VR beat em ups. geddit!?
A fun and quirky title that combines elements of puzzle platforming, rogue likes, and narrative titles all bundled up into an oddball tin can and fired off past Jupiter. Journey to the Savage Planet is a trip you will want to take
Shadow In The Ice is a solid expansion of the first Season 5 episode.
An ambitious new open world adventure from Netease that straddles the boundaries of VR and traditional desktop MMORPG. Nostos is a magical experience that ultimately has some way to go before it hits its lofty goals
As you step up into your airship to take on the mid-game, there’s a long grind ahead.
While this adventure looks and feels like a fantastic ode to my own experiences, it is going to be incredibly divisive.
In the end, this is a fast food adventure. KFC isn’t traditionally a five course banquet and that’s not what you’ll get here. I Love You Colonel Sanders: A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator is a short, devoid of any really serious game changing choices, or any long term progression. It is, however, a gorgeously constructed distraction.
Despite the repetitive nature of some games, Football Drama has definitely managed to score a winner.
Headline: Novines is more than just a tick box exercise. The characters, writing, animation and layered complexity make this a game that feels layered ultimately rewarding. There’s little else to really say without spoiling the narrative but if you have ever wondered what a visual novel and papers please look like in one package then it’s time to find out.
It’s nigh on impossible to dislike Hamsterdam. It is a cute caper with some very cool ideas that plays to its strengths. This isn’t an expensive or expansive game. It is a quick distraction and a wonderful one at that. Consider a weekend break to Hamsterdam and you won’t be disappointed.
Another Sight is a deeply original tale that rewards players for taking a more leisurely stroll through its world.
That is the reason to play My Friend Pedro in a nutshell, although bananas don’t have shells. My Friend Pedro is beautiful violence. Just like Doom, it takes a simple idea and builds an unrelenting pace. It is an unyielding and remarkable display of carnage that will keep any assassin’s finger twitching
If you want a quick blast of noise and a fun challenge then is right on tempo. The mechanics might be pretty clean cut but this deleteriously bright beat-down is charming.
Super Cane Magic Zero is fun. It is bright, bold, mostly an engaging attempt at doing something different. If you like the oddball work of Sio then you’ll love this. Do bear in mind that most of the game is hand crafted so there is not a ton of replay value in it.
If you are a fan of mechs, and want to blast off into combat then Project Nimbus: Complete Edition has some great mech combat. It feels like a cross between Gundam and Ace Combat and shooting up the skies in a battle frame is incredibly satisfying.
Twin cop is ludicrous, irreverent, and utterly infuriating. It is easily the most fun I’ve had after a pontoon accident.
The simple control system makes Duck Game instantly accessible for almost all players and makes challenging your nearest and dearest a simple pick up and play experience. The odd aesthetic, menagerie of weapons, and charming soundtrack all add to Duck Game's attraction. If you are looking for a fun party game Duck Game fits the bill! Duck Game is out now on Nintendo Switch. You can find out more about it at the official Duck Game Website.
