I feel like the challenge is perfectly balanced, the combat is immensely satisfying and the technical prowess on display is a wonderful achievement. Gunfire Games has, without doubt, put out one of the best games of the year and I expect this to be talked about come GOTY time.

“Iron Danger feels like a breath of fresh air for CRPGs. While not a perfect game, its unique, time-based combat system is a pure joy to play with and worth the price of admission alone.”

Crypto’s return is a piece of pure B-grade Sci/Fi fun. Come for the one-liners, stay for the engaging combat and cheesy story. The perfect way to lighten your dark and depressing 2020 gaming library.

Despite a few notable missing features and courses, PGA 2K21 is as good as virtual golf gets at this very moment. Drive for show, putt for dough in this cracking sports title.

A great idea that never quite reaches its full promise, Watch Dogs: Legion is still a cracking bit of techno fun. Come for the hacking and stay for the engaging story and cockney accents.

The most interesting and inventive campaign in the franchise makes this well worth the price of entry. Sadly the multiplayer modes don’t live up to the high bar set by the single-player mode.

When you break it down, there is nothing in Atlas Fallen we haven’t seen before. Everything it does, someone else has done in another game. That being said, what Deck 13 have done is bring these elements together into a rollicking adventure that hits all the right notes for action fans, tells an engaging (if cliched) story and never outstays its welcome.

In all NBA 2k Playgrounds 2 lacks some of the simplicity of NBA Jam but more than holds its own with added features, an addictive gameplay loop and a fun, cartoonish presentation style. The microtransactions are the only downer in what is otherwise a stellar bit of arcade fun, one that should be enjoyed by anyone that has regular game nights with friends.

Despite a few issues regarding in-game currency and unlockables, MK11 is the best the franchise has ever been. Fans of one-on-one fighters and/or over-the-top gore shouldn’t hesitate to buy

With Cricket ’19, Big Ant has once again released a high-quality cricket title that is likely to keep fans invested until the next version. Sadly it is held back by a lack of polish in areas that have always shown a lack of polish, so the hope for these problems ever being fixed is fading. But that being said this is a great game and well worth your time with improvements both big and small over the previous version.

“A satisfying bit of bone crunching fun, Redeemer brings some much welcomed innovation to a sometimes stale genre. A short run-time and a few technical hiccups are the only things holding the game back from greatness.”

For better or worse Subdivision Infinity DX is a game that recreates the golden era of space-based arcade shooters beautifully. Mileage may vary, but if you have fond memories of Freespace and Rogue Squadron, this is a game for you.

Hiding the nasty microtransactions and adding some welcome new additions has lead to the best game of ball of this generation. It isn’t perfect, but it isn’t the monetary predator it has been for the last few years.

Zombie killing is always better with friends and Zombie Army 4 doesn’t buck that trend. Don’t buy this if you lack playing partners but if you have some Zombie slaying mates it is a blast.”
