Returning to the open approach of older titles, Hitman is the definitive title in the franchise, offering a colossal variety of approaches and methods. The unparalleled freedom and wide-open environments come together to define a fantastic game with a long life.

7.9 / 10.0 - Attack on Titan
Aug 26, 2016

For franchise fans, this is a no-brainer, capturing the feel of the AoT world and its messy, visceral combat. For everyone else, this is a maybe; combat is fluid and takedowns are satisfying, but gameplay can get monotonous. Try before you buy.

8 / 10.0 - Worms W.M.D
Aug 22, 2016

For a longtime Worms player, Worms W.M.D. feels like finding and putting on your old favorite jeans — comfortable, familiar and feels like home. Worms W.M.D is best played with a bunch of friends, but the single-player content isn't too bad and will be a challenge to fully complete.

Lovingly crafted, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided essentially takes Metal Gear Solid and drops it into a Blade Runner-esque transhumanist world full of complexities, oddities, and deception. The result is an engaging adventure with great feel and a few surprises up its sleeve. Definitely one to look into.

9.1 / 10.0 - SteamWorld Heist
Aug 17, 2016

Quirky, easy to dive into, and great fun to play around with, SteamWorld Heist is a modern classic and one of our favorite turn-based titles of recent years. Easily recommended.

8.2 / 10.0 - Prison Architect
Aug 15, 2016

Despite the occasional bug and some derpy AI here and there, Prison Architect is a solid title that hits all the right notes for simulation fans, taking an obscure concept and transforming it into a fun game that delivers hundreds of hours of playtime.

4.2 / 10.0 - MilitAnt
Aug 10, 2016

MilitAnt is an exercise in "what-if"; there's a lot of potential for a great platformer, but it's mired by shoddy gameplay systems and poor design. We're hoping to see a sequel that corrects these mistakes, but this one is quite the disappointment.

7.9 / 10.0 - Brut@l
Aug 8, 2016

Brut@l helps fill the void of roguelikes available on the PlayStation 4, though the lack of persistent upgrades makes Brut@l more of a game meant to be played in short bursts rather than working on a long-term improvement and domination. The solid gameplay and easy learning curve make Brut@l a strong introduction to roguelikes, though experienced dungeoneers may find it too shallow.

8.3 / 10.0 - Armello
Aug 3, 2016

Armello is an excellent staple of turn-based strategy games. With its charming aesthetic, many subtle nuances and ways to foil opponents, fans of the genre will appreciate the depth on offer here, though it may be a little too slow paced for gamers new to the genre.

7.8 / 10.0 - 10 Second Ninja X
Jul 18, 2016

For fans of hardcore games such as Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be The Guy, 10 Second Ninja X is a fantastic game. The short bursts of gameplay make 10SNX great for people with limited time, but the difficulty won't be for everyone; grab the demo first if you're new to hardcore platformers.

8.1 / 10.0 - Crush Your Enemies
Jul 13, 2016

A fun RTS that doesn't take itself too seriously. Punishing campaign difficulty and online multiplayer modes help build a long lifespan for our barbarian friends. While it won't replace your Starcraft or Total War, it'll complement them nicely when you want a more lighthearted change of pace.

6.8 / 10.0 - Lost Sea

Lack of variety and a poorly designed progression system hurt the game, but it's a fun, family friendly activity for younger gamers to spend a few hours on.

7.7 / 10.0 - Zombie Party
Jun 28, 2016

Fun as a jump-in, jump-out title, Zombie Party is best played as couch co-op. Fans of twin stick shooters will appreciate the depth, but for the online multiplayer this zombie bites off a little more than it can chew.

8.4 / 10.0 - Amplitude HD
Jun 8, 2016

Easy to pick up and play, Amplitude is a must-have for gamers who love rhythm/music games. Local multiplayer and various difficulty settings make Amplitude excellent value for money, though a lack of online multiplayer or additional DLC hurts long-term longevity.
