Gears Tactics is not only a pretty good turn-based tactical game, but it also manages to keep the typical feeling of the Gears of War series unchanged.

Bleeding Edge is a decent multiplayer action game lacking enought content to keep the players engaged in the long term.

Saints Row IV Re-Elected comes to the Nintendo Switch many years after the launch of the original version, but it certainly is a valid option for anyone looking for an excessively exaggerated and over the top open world action game. Unfortunately the conversion proves to be anything but flawless, even if the many technical issues don't undermine the overall gaming experience.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the natural evolution of the already excellent Ori and the Blind Forest, a masterpiece and a milestone in the metroidvania genre. It's a modern fairy tale with a lesson that should be accepted by everyone and applied without reservation in the everyday life. So be careful: playing Ori and the Will of the Wisps could make you a better person.

LUNA The Shadow Dust is a magical point-and-click adventure with amazing hand-drawn backdrops and animations. Too bad the puzzles are trivial and the pacing is a bit messy.

Conglomerate 451 manages to mix the highest traditions of the dungeon crawler genre with the gameplay mechanics one would expect from any modern video game. There are some flaws here and there, especially concerning the procedural generation of the missions, but they are counterbalanced by the high variety of the enemy types and the deep customization system of the agents.

The Suicide of Rachel Foster is a fascinating interactive thriller that manages to treat extremely delicate issues such as suicide, depression, and love with extraordinary tact. The writing is always on point, even if near the end of the adventure the events appear perhaps a bit rushed. In any case, the game developed by One-O-One Games manages to leave its mark by making us, the players, think about the consequences of our actions in other people's lives.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a nice strategic RPG, however its tie-in nature is in fact a limit to its potential. Who knows what it could have been if BonusXP would have poured a bit more of courage in its develpment...

Warcraft III is still one of the best RTS ever made, yet this Reforged edition is just a lazy remaster. That's because many features are missing and the game is plagued by a significant amount of technical issues.

Despite a bunch of interesting ideas, Phoenix Point rarely offers a viable alternative to the many other games of the same genre. Greatly unbalanced, unpolished and poorly optimized, the game by the creator of the X-Com series is but a shadow of Gollop's past.

When it works, Darksiders Genesis is quite fun and entertaining. Unfortunately the game is plagued by many technical issues and some very questionable design choices that prevent to guarantee an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order hits the target by offering the right mix of adrenaline-pumping action and thoughtful exploration. The metroidvania mechanics are grafted to perfection within the game formula, and the same can be said for those borrowed from the latest productions of From Software. Without introducing anything really new, Respawn Entertainment manages to merge all these elements and give birth to a fascinating and satisfying experience, as well as being consistent with the Star Wars ecosystem (much more than the last movies).

Strategic Mind: The Pacific is an interesting turn-based tactical game but it certainly isn't for everyone, however that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's a bit rough on the edges but in the end it does its job pretty well.

The Outer Worlds is Obsidian Entertainment's magnum opus, an RPG with an enticing and multifaceted ruleset set in a dystopian capitalistic society. Its only flaws reside in the combat system and gunplay, but these are easely counterbalanced by the excellent writing and the many possibilities offered to the players. Let's hope Obsidian will explore this setting further, possibly with a much needed sequel.

Shadowkeep is an extremely lazy expansion that offers nothing more than the bare minimum of content. Some new sets of armor, a few additional weapons, several exotic and a pleasant additional endgame activity are of little use when everything else is in fact recycled from the past incarnations of the franchise. Let's hope Bungie will somehow counterbalance the scarcity of present contents in the next season.

Rebel Cops offers several interesting ideas, in particular in how to approach the various situations, but the implementation of these is rarely on point. There are too many ups and downs in a game with a rather limited scope, without any degree of replayability and plagued by many problems. The inspired setting, although full of clichés, the excellent art direction and an engaging soundtrack can't counterbalance the many issues of this spin-off of This is the Police.

GreedFall is a charming RPG with a beautiful setting and an engaging plot. It's a bit rough on the edges, but it represents the pinnacle of Spiders' productions so far, even if there's still room for improvement.

Remnant: From the Ashes is, in all honesty, a breath of fresh air. A solid and alluring co-op action RPG with a good lot of innovations. Don't call it a "souls-like with guns", it's much more than that.

Earth Defense Force 5 is yet another iteration of a series that embraces the repetitiveness of the action to make it its own main strength, thanks to an enviable amount of unlockable content and an immediate gameplay formula capable of entertaining for tens, if not hundreds of hours.
