Alliance War is a well thought out expansion that fits very well into the solid established gameplay of The Elder Scrolls: Legends.

Pathway can count on an outstanding art direction, but there are many issues preventing the players to fully enjoy the game.

Defining Tom Clancy's The Division 2 as a "more of the same" is certainly unfair, but we have to say that the innovations introduced by Massive Entertainment are grafted onto the already proven mechanics of the previous incarnation of the series. Compared to its direct predecessor, the latest game developed by the Swedish studio already offers an impressive amount of content. The lack of a consistent plot and a poor optimization on PC are the only issues worth noting. This is however an excellent exponent of the "looter shooter" genre, surely the only one presenting itself in the most complete form at launch.

DMC is finally back, and it's here to teach all of us a lesson on how to make an excellent action game.

Eastshade is a wonderful surprise. A videogame in which violence is not contemplated and which gives free rein to the exploration of the world, as well as the discovery of the characters that populate it. The artistic direction is also fantastic, lending itself perfectly to the protagonist's brushes. Despite some small technical issues, Eastshade is an incredibly deep and relaxing experience.

Crackdown 3 comes directly from the past, from an era in which the open-world action games focused mainly on the amount of things to do, to the detriment of the overall quality and variety of situations. This does not mean that the formula proposed by Sumo Digital doesn't work, far from it, but it's linked to a now anachronistic concept of a genre that has evolved in the last couple of years into something that goes beyond the simple repetition of the same tasks throughout the duration of the campaign.

Re-Legion is based on some interesting ideas and has a nice cyberpunk setting. Sadly there's only one game mode (the single player campaign), and overall the game feels very easy due to a lackluster AI.

There's a lot of content here, but the many technical issues, the poor balancing between the twelve factions, and the many feature missing from its direct predecessor make Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 an underwhelming experience.

Ashen is a souls-like game with a particular focus on the co-op multiplayer. Sadly this feature rarely works as intended, but despite its flaws, the game developed by A44 is still an enjoyable variation to the formula created by Miyazaki and From Software.

GRIS is an outstanding work of pure art lended to the world of video games. Its gameplay, however simple, is but a vessel for a strong and emotional message carried out by an exceptional visual and sound direction. The first title of Nomada Studio is moving, delicate and elegant: a real gem in the landscape of independent video games.

There's a game behind the many issues and flaws of Underworld Ascendant; we just don't know when (or if) we might see it one day.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Heaven is a game with a lot of charisma thanks to an exceptional characterization of the world and the characters that populate it. Unfortunately, the mix of turn-based tactics and stealth isn't always working as it's supposed to, but the game developed by The Bearded Ladies is still able to entertain for about fifteen hours. Maybe next time it would be appropriate to put on the gameplay the same care given to the narrative aspects of the game.

Warhammer 40.000: Mechanicus is surprising: it's extremely coherent with the setting created by Games Workshop, and the gameplay reflects the potential offered by the ability to command a cohort of the Adeptus Mechanicus. There are some undeniable flaws, but overall we are looking at a refreshing new take on the turn-based tactics genre.

Putting aside the many technical issues, Fallout 76 offers an empty world in which, paradoxically, there are many things to do, but everything appears to be an end in itself. There is something good in this game, but it's crippled by a bland world design and a non-existent plot. This is a game that may be able to entertain, but boredom is always dangerously around the corner.

Hitman 2 is an excellent more of the same, a game that pushes the boundaries of the freedom given to the players in delivering the perfect assassination. The level design reaches new height in the genre, and the plot is compelling. Sadly the two multiplayer modes are a bit shallow.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the turning point for one of the most famous series produced by Ubisoft. Despite a somewhat shallow storyline and a constant sense of déjà-vu due to the evident reuse of assets from its direct predecessor, the metamorphosis in a full-fledged action RPG is successful, assisted by a system of choices and consequences that works well in guaranteeing tangible repercussions in the world. Now we can't wait to find out how the series will evolve.
