Anyone who enjoys action-packed survival games with plenty of freedom will definitely get their money's worth here and can experience how the undoubtedly present weaknesses fade further into the background with each hour of play.

However, there aren't so many changes that owners of the Wii U version should necessarily buy again, unless they absolutely love the title. JRPG fans who have so far passed the game by will have an optimal opportunity with "Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition" to immerse themselves in a very good, incredibly atmospheric open-world role-playing game that will easily provide them with 100 hours of fun or more.

Despite all the doom and gloom, "Assassin's Creed Shadows" has become one of the best installments in the series to date. The game not only tops the series in terms of graphics, but also narratively, despite its open-world structure, which is actually a disadvantage.

If you liked part 1, you will get a sequel that will be even better in practically every respect. However, if you are one of those who did not warm to the first part, there is a very good chance that you will feel the same way with "Kingdom Come: Deliverance II" despite the many improvements.

This will become more varied and challenging over time, especially as enemies that can only be defeated with multiple hits or a combination of several types of attack appear. The variety of levels is at least as great, both in terms of theme and gameplay elements.

With its mostly poor AI and some minor bugs, Indiana Jones is not a perfect game. But beside its minor flaws and especially how the game breathes the essence of its iconic hero it is just one of the best action-adventures in the last few years and a must-have for everyone who loves Indy or the genre in general.

"S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" simply does not deliver enough and is too flawed to give it a good rating. The AI and game balance in particular are so bad that we cannot even recommend "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2" to fans of the predecessors, who are certainly used to suffering, without major reservations. It was not a complete disaster, and the fact that GSC Game World managed to get the title out in a playable form despite the war is certainly no small achievement.

With LEGO Horizon Adventures Guerilla Games and Studio Gobo deliver a nice action adventure with a lot of LEGO humour and an entertaining combat system that distinguishes the game in a good way from the titles of TT Games. It's a little short, but if you like the LEGO style and humour as well as Horizon: Zero Dawn, it is easy to make a recommendation.

The "LS25" clearly improves the lighting system and effects. The jump from "Farming Simulator 19" to "LS22" felt bigger, however. Especially since Giants Software is omitting the last-gen consoles this time, one would have expected a little more. And also that the annoying issue of game physics would be tackled decisively. There can be no talk of a step backwards here, but the improvements are not so serious that the "LS25" can gain on its predecessor in terms of rating.

Mario & Luigi: Brothership is a great combination of Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario in a unique floating island world. Although it is a solo game, the RPG succeeds in preventing an inimitable co-op-like experience with a high variety in combat, puzzles and skill based challenges. Just one of the best Switch games in 2024 and a must have for any Mario fan.

Zero Dawn Remastered looks better and, thanks to the Dual Sense controls, plays and feels even better than the PS4 original. But you need to decide by yourself, if the ten bucks is worth it to play the game again. If you do not have the game yet, Zero Dawn, the Remastered version is just the best opportunity to play it. Not least because here you get the main game as well as worthline story extension The Frozen Wilds.

Not every single game mode might be more than a nice bonus. But especially with the Jamboree Buddies system and some other creative inventions the core board game mode benefits a lot. In addition with the fully new co-op mode Bowser Kaboom Squad and the competitive Koopathlon mode for 20 players Super Mario Party Jamboree is just one of the best entries to the Mario Party series, maybe the best so far.

Metaphor ReFantazio isn't a high flyer like Persona V, but with the unique Fantasy setting, the pleasant swift round-based combat and the deep Archetype system it's still a good RPG that's worth playing. Despite all the differences, especially for gamers who love JPRG series like Persona and Shin Megami Tensei.

Until Dawn remains a great adventure that feels like a teenie-slasher movie you can play yourself. Beside some technically issues it looks great within the new engine, but does not improve enough to make it a worth buy if you already played the PS4 original. But if you didn't play it yet, like the Quantic-Dream-like gameplay concept and horror movies as well, you are going to enjoy the remastered version from the start to the end.

Echoes of Wisdom is a great new dye entry in the series that combines a very classical approach with creative gameplay where (generally) much more than one way leads to a solution. You will never ask yourself why Nintendo decided to give Zelda the main role. After playing this, you will ask why she did not get her chance earlier. A must-buy for series' fans.

Developer Purple Lamp successfully brings the Wii original into the year 2024 with mostly fully new graphics that (more or less) make the remake look like a current production. The action adventure is too undemanding for a must-have. But with its creative gameplay and as an atmospheric Homage to Disney classics it's worth buying not simply for fans of the original.
