Dead Star is a cool twin stick shooter with fun online multiplayer. Teamwork however is essential for both victory and fun, that like with most games, that all comes down to the player base themselves and doesn't reflect on the quality of the game.
Hitman is off to a good start, but the ridiculous load times and the always-online issues bring down an otherwise impressive entry in the Hitman series.
EA UFC 2 is certainly an improvement over the original game and while it does add more game modes and more to do, it's just disappointing that the main game mode, the career mode has almost gone untouched and the new additions don't really add much to the experience. EA UFC 2 isn't a knock out but it's good enough to earn a 29-28 decision victory.
Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is a nice change of pace for those who want more to the Warriors franchise than just hack and slash. Not that the hacking and slashing isn't fun, but the addition of the strategy elements makes it and even better game and one that is a blast to play.
The Bug Butcher is a really fun and really addicting arcade like shooter. While it won't take that long to play through all the levels, it offers a high amount of replayability and it's one of those games where every single point matters and you will be playing over and over again to climb those leaderboards.
Gravity Rush Remastered is a fantastic port of an already fantastic game. The updated presentation is beautiful and nothing was lost in translation when putting a handheld game on the consoles. With tons to do and additional content, Gravity Rush Remastered is a fantastic addition to any gamer's PS4 library.
Resident Evil 0 isn't a bad game. But compared to the original remake, it certainly is a step down. I can understand Capcom trying new things and increasing the tension, but it becomes tedious more than anything. Either way, it's still a good game and still worth playing if you have never played it before or want to replay it again after so many years.
Killing giant insect scum was has never been as fun and addicting as it is now. The four different classes provide four different and fun ways to play the game and there is tons of replay value here to keep you killing incest for many months to come.
WWE 2K16 is one of the best WWE games released in years and is the WWE game you want to get if you own a PS4 or Xbox One.
Fans of the series will probably get a kick out of the use of the source material but it's hard to recommend this game to anyone but said fans of the source material. For everyone else, it's repetitive and probably isn't at the level of depth that most fighting games offer these days.
It's more of the same but that's not a bad thing as the gameplay is incredibly fast, frantic and fun. A great game on it's own but if you aren't a fan of Dynasty Warriors style beat em ups, this game might not do much to change your opinion on them.
Magnetic: Cage Closed isn't an amazing game but it isn't terrible either. It's a decent puzzler which fans of the genre should enjoy and is a good puzzler for the Xbox One. If you love these types of games, I would say go for it, but for those who aren't, it's nothing really that you need to check out.
New graphics, new levels, and new features make this one of the best games you can buy on the Xbox One.
Red Goddess has beautiful visuals and an interesting rage and fear transformation system. It had potential, but sadly, a great game is buried under a pile of problems.
Rare Replay is one of the best compilation titles you could ever pick up. There is tons of quality and replay value here. Just being able to have Battletoads, RC Pro AM, Conker, Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark all together on one package is huge to me and most of the other games are fantastic as well. Throw in all of in game achievements, challenges and history videos and you have the definitive Rare collection. Highly recommended.
Olli Olli 2 may be incredibly difficult at times but it is also non stop fun. It takes everything that made the first game great and made it even better. If you missed out on the first game, you really can't go wrong with this one. This is a game that I feel that anyone can enjoy and especially those who need an extreme skateboarding fix since Tony Hawk and Skate are now dead. If there is an Olli Olli 3, I anxiously await to see how they are going to top this one.
Hotline Miami 2 is everything you would expect out of the sequel. It's still as violent as ever before and best of all, it's still incredibly fun. With multiple playable characters, an interesting story, a phenomenal soundtrack, and intense gameplay, I have a feeling that Hotline Miami 2 will be on my top 10 list of games when 2015 comes to a close. Aside from a couple of issues, Hotline Miami 2 is incredibly fun and is a game that shouldn't be missed.
Gat out of Hell is not bad, but it's not great either. To put it simply, it's more Saints Row IV. If you go into it thinking its going to have all new gameplay with an all new story, you are going to be disappointed. It's fun but the overwhelming feel of deja vu may sour you a bit on it.
ScreamRide is currently the most fun I have had with a videogame in 2015 so far. I think the idea of this game is brilliant, and it is absolutely addicting to play. With three separate career modes, a beautiful physics based destruction system and the sandbox mode, this should keep you occupied for quite some time.
I love this game, and will probably love it even more once online matchmaking gets added. Even if you are playing 1 v 1 matches, it makes for an incredibly fun time and since matches are short, you will probably find yourself saying "just one more match" over and over again like I have.
