Pathologic 2 is basically the original game in a new coat of paint. Just like the original, it suffers from plenty of technical issues and some of the changes were for the worse. Despite that, it still remains a game you shouldn't miss, if only bacause it breaks the mold of the standard horror adventure games.

Operencia: The Stolen Sun makes a great first impression with its beautiful visual style and after it reveals its complex gameplay mechanics and unique story, the positive feeling only grows deeper. All that and fast, fluid combat creates a great experience suitable even for dungeon crawler novices.

Devotion differentiates itself from other horror games by its touching and comprehensible story and incorporating Taiwanese folklore. A short playing time of about three hours suits it and the absence of puzzles or enemies is justified. Too bad about the unnecessary controversy that will probably overwhelm these undeniable positives.

As a spiritual successor of the Ultima Underworld series, Underworld Ascendant fails in almost every way.The promising introduction is followed by a brisk quality drop. A wasted potential.

Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game has managed to combine many elements from different genres while maintaining an impressive mystical atmosphere. Along with the appropriate length, appropriately chosen visuals and tuned gameplay, it can be ranked among the best Lovecraft themed video games.

Deep Sky Derelicts has everything you'd expect from this type of game, but it doesn't measure up to its famous predecessors. Ordinary players will probably get tired very soon because of the drab environments and endless collecting of various junk. But the fans of the genre certainly won't be disappointed.

The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep couldn't escape the shadow of its predecessors and it also has some unnecessary technical flaws. Ultimately not just younger players that are used to modern games, but also the older players, won't be completely satisfied.

Narcosis' biggest strength is its oppresive atmosphere, created by the inner feelings of a person trapped in the deep sea.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station suffers from the same mistakes like many other smaller VR games did. It doesn't have an engaging story and won't surprise you with any interesting ideas. Without a virtual reality device, the game is simply half as enjoyable.

Unlike Agony, Lust for Darkness is a pleasant surprise that doesn't attempt to gross you out at every opportunity. It has a logical and interesting world and an engaging story with a well done conclusion that makes it recommendable with a clear conscience.

Dark Souls: Remastered offers almost the same experience as the original game, and with some well-designed changes you can enjoy it like never before. Although maybe the developers should have changed a bit more.

No one expected Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition to be a full-fledged remake and it's not even a remaster or a HD version. It's just the original game with some cosmetic changes and its main purpose is to revive the community and online play.

Rise of Insanity doesn't offer much, but it also gives you everything you could want from a game like this. Atmospheric exploration of traditional places and less traditional human mind takes only a short time, but this way, the game doesn't overstay its welcome. This game simply knows what to offer and when it should end.

ELEX follows in footsteps of the previous Piranha Bytes games. Don't be fooled by the attractive post-apocalyptic and seemingly accessible and open world, this isn't another Horizon Zero Dawn. This is a ruthless old school game that'll give you nothing for free.

Inmates might deserve a higher rating, but the low budget and its very short length are hard to ignore. Even so, it's a pleasant one-night horror entertainment.

If you like games that combine action and stealth, you'll find a lot to like here, but its very high difficulty, monotonous environments, and the cold and brief story make ECHO an experience that isn't simple to process.

Observer features a gripping storyline, a geyser of ideas and an unconventional visual style. However, its charm couldn't fully unfold on such a small area. Its world has a great potential and I hope the developers will return to it eventually.

The Long Dark is a very ambitious survival title that ages like wine. The older it is, the better it is. The fans of the survival genre should be thrilled and the casual players won't be disappointed either.
