Marathon features a strong universe, solid gunplay, and atmosphere, but in the form of an extraction shooter and without any significant innovation, it feels more like wasted potential than a true revival of the franchise.

In terms of gameplay, Nioh 3 is an exceptionally polished action RPG that builds upon the strong foundations of the series, though at the same time it feels like a title lacking greater innovation, one that primarily deepens familiar mechanics.

High on Life 2 has neither declined nor improved in quality. It maintains a solid standard that is objectively worthy of attention, but its unfortunate technical state drags the experience down by several levels.

Ninja Gaiden 4 is a solid genre action game that hits all the right spots. However, it hasn’t managed to avoid a certain sequel stereotype, and while it feels high-quality, it’s not as striking as the developers themselves would have wished.

Ivalice Chronicles proved that a product created nearly three decades ago can still captivate today with cleverly designed gameplay and a rich world. It is pure retro, yet remarkably functional and charming. Hopefully, a modern variation of this spin-off series will be released someday.

Hell is Us may not stand a chance at breaking financial records or sweeping all the Game Awards. Nevertheless, it offers a dense experience, skillfully balancing between adventure and action. At the same time, it deserves recognition as the most atmospheric title of the year, along with a brilliant soundtrack that lends every night street the aura of a hostile horror.

Wuchang certainly does not disgrace its genre—it honors the rules, cleverly innovates, and delivers a functional experience with brutal action and a tear-jerking narrative.
