Thanks to modes like Franchise and Superstar, Madden NFL 24 manages to stream fun, even for those who won't even play online or bet on Ultimate Team. It's a shame that EA Sports' efforts to improve gameplay result in issues that actually hurt it, like the animations. You often see visually awkward moments where the game is clearly transitioning sharply between animations. Improvements in this aspect and in the latency in the menus would help Madden NFL 24 immensely.

Eternights is precisely what Studio Sai intended, a simpler Persona with much stronger sexual suggestions, almost skimming the erotic anime at certain times. If you imagine playing a hack and slash with lots of romance anime clichés, you might find that in the dilliest moments (when you wish you weren't playing alongside family members), Eternights hides a good heart underneath its perverted exterior.

Fate/Samurai Remnant is a game for lovers of Japanese productions, who like long hours of storytelling and don't mind the most humble graphic skills. By turning Musou's gameplay into an Action RPG with some depth and strategy in the mix, Type-Moon and Omega Force pull off some good moments, but it's not strong enough to hold up for all the hours the narrative needed. Still, you might be pleasantly surprised by Fate/Samurai Remnant.

EA Sports FC 24 features the best gameplay of recent years, at an early stage of an EA football game, but the fluidity of the gameplay and the taste you derive from it arrives tainted by several parameters that will easily divide the community. The speed of the gameplay removes the feeling of speed differential in the players who really are fast, the errors of the artificial intelligence, animations and collision system, not to mention the erratic behavior of the goalkeepers and the way the values of the players in the Ultimate Team vary crazily from game to game, make the good is beset by several problems. Add to this the heightened sense of familiarity, EA Sports FC 24 is not the undisputed victory one would wish for.

Assassin's Creed: Mirage is a game with moments of pure splendor, where you will find yourself standing still absorbing the scenes as if you wanted to breathe the city and the places where Basim passes. The classic gameplay, focused on the stealth element, simplified for immediate fun and without artificial elements to prolong longevity, conquers, but the enemy AI constantly breaks the immersion and removes satisfaction from your interaction, to the point of almost making it banal to play as Ubisoft intends you to play.

Sonic Supertars is probably Arzest's best title, which attempts to redeem itself from Balan Wonderworld, but it's hard to escape the feeling that everything good about it was taken directly from existing games. The gameplay and visuals are very conquering and pleasing, but they deserve better help from the level design. Also, the Emeralds and co-op (its two real novelties) don't work fully. Still, if you're a Sonic fan, add one more star and play Sonic Supertars until you want to pick up Mania again.

As a devoted fan of Hideo Kojima, mainly due to his work on this series, Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 is simply a must-have. Whether it's to keep these games within easy reach or simply to remind myself of how good they are: even though the gameplay may seem archaic, the narrative, themes, and cinematic execution shine with great splendor. Konami should have done more because the strength of these colossi is such that Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 deserved more love.

WarioWare: Move It! It's eccentric, dashing and truly crazy, an entirely different side of the Japanese company that is so easily, and wrongly, accused of a one-dimensional approach to its projects. The fast-paced microgames and motion controls took me back to previous generations, and if I was laughing while playing, those watching couldn't resist having fun with my figures. Solo, it might be a hard title to justify, but with friends and family, it's as energetic as it is eccentric.

Air Twister is a short game, designed to capture the essence of the golden age of arcades, in which Yu Suzuki reminisces about his time at Sega. If you're nostalgic for a game like this and you're still dreaming of the return of Panzer Dragoon, you might like Air Twister and constantly replay the same levels in search of a better score. Despite the fun it can bring over a couple of hours, it's easy to feel that it's a very humble project on its scale and that Suzuki could do a lot more on a larger project.

NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS is a love letter to all fans of this universe and who after so many years have begun to miss a game in the series. However, it's a difficult title to position and maybe it's even better to look for the Trilogy or Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 to get a better and bigger Naruto experience. The new characters are the only real curiosity in an all-too-familiar package.

Persona 5 Tactica is a super accessible SRPG without the depth you'd expect from a game of this genre. It's clearly thought of as an SRPG title for Persona 5 fans who probably haven't even played a turn-based strategy game. It might be interesting for curious Persona fans, but most would probably invest their time better playing Mario + Rabbids, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics, Mutant Year Zero, Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre, Disgaea or any other name that does greater justice to the genre.

By betting on complete remakes for both games, Nintendo ensures that Another Code: Recollection comes fully optimized and free of many of the problems that existed in the original versions. You may feel that the difficulty has been greatly reduced in this effort to remove much of the friction that existed in the original versions, much of it related to the specific alternative control methods of each of the original consoles, but the result is a much more entertaining game that much better fulfills its purpose as a hybrid experience between visual novel and puzzle.

Despite rare graceful and fun moments, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the worst kind of experience you can interact with: you won't feel particularly disgusted for taking the time to it, but you'll also feel like you don't lose anything if you don't play it. It's a game that arouses indifference and that's the worst thing that can be said about an interactive experience, the inability to excite and leave memories.

When Gollum was announced, it sparked immense curiosity about a game with scenes unseen in Middle-earth and his journey through Mordor even has interesting scenes. It's a shame that most of your time it's just boring or that it leaves you feeling like you're better off playing something else that does everything you want to do here.

By creating a 3D metroidvania played in the first person, Retro Studios entered unexplored territory and created a new era of possibility, but it is its methodology of demand and progression design that make it an unwavering reference. Retro Studios' original design remains glorious and Metroid Prime Remastered is a sensational recalling of this golden page on Nintendo's resume. After 20 years, it is still a memorable game, a work of art of interactive entertainment. Presented in a version that updates the controls, improves graphics and performance in impressive ways, to the point of approaching the concept of remake, it is a game that crosses generations and still deserves to be played, studied and caries with force.

Octopath Traveler 2 shows that Square Enix and Acquire have managed to evolve over the intended plans for the former. It's not a revolution, it's a splendid evolution that results in a new golden page for the company. It is a JRPG for all who grew up with the classics of the era of 90, but also a magnificent starting point for those who want to discover the genre. The aesthetic is perfect and has contributed immensely to its charm, as well as the characters, also the combat system boasts quality, although simple is challenging, while the soundtrack is a stunning company for more than 80 hours of content that you do not want to stop discovering. There are few games of this range and our mission is to carve them.
