83 / 100 - SnowRunner
Apr 28, 2020

SnowRunner is an exciting game - despite it being so slow. It's a game for hardcore players with patience and endurance. Even the last mile can mean a stop to your journey. The game gives you a lot of freedom - three open worlds are yours to explore with many quest to fulfill. It's up to you which you tackle first, but you need to decide which upgrades or new vehicles are necessary to get first. SnowRunner has beautiful environments with a great atmosphere - there are some technical hiccups like small fonts and complex menus but it's overall an enjoyable experience for everyone who likes this kind of simulation.

83 / 100 - DiRT 5
Nov 2, 2020

DIRT 5 brings you a lot of fun - as a very diverse arcade racing, it's nothing of the simulation DIRT 4 partly was. DIRT 5 is a bit unfinished at times though, with a lot of tearing on Xbox One X and the career mode also seems lukewarm.

Train Sim World 2 can be a relaxed simulator for you. But when you choose different settings it's also one for experts and enthusiasts. Oh, and in any case, it's for people with a passion for trains. The depictions of trains and stations in this game is mostly perfect.

82 / 100 - Cloudpunk
Oct 24, 2020

You can enjoy Cloudpunk because of its great atmosphere and a dense metropolis that makes you feel like the big crash is imminent once the leading AI makes a mistake. Also, Cloudpunk features a strong narrative. The PS4 port is rather weak.

I had a lot of fun with a surprisingly well-made Switch version of Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville.

82 / 100 - Bus Simulator 21

stillalive studios deliver a game that is definitely better than its predecessor - but not everything runs completely smoothly.

Chapter One is Sherlock's biggest and best adventure yet. It's a welcome change from other current games and a very diverse detective adventure. There are are few technical hiccups here and there however.

82 / 100 - Tchia
Apr 11, 2023

There are a few frustrating and/or shallow elements in what could be a truly wholesome game. But there's also this beautiful world full of adventures and a great atmosphere. Overall, Tchia is one of the best open-world games that I've played in a while.

Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly is like the second visit in a wonderful café: There's still that awesome quality but the sensation of something special begins to fade.

81 / 100 - Iron Danger
Mar 23, 2020

Iron Danger prides itself in its combat and time manipulation system. It does so well deserved. The game's second highlight is the wonderful world. Levels are small, but varied and just beautiful. It's a pity there aren't more interaction possibilities outside of combat and that the narrating remains rather dull. Friends of tactical gameplay (and great worlds) shall take a look at Iron Danger!

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a delight with its diverse group of heroes and deep gameplay. Every joke is the best when you hear it for the first time, however. Therefore, replay value is rather low.

Looking for a rally simulation on the Switch, it's not possible to overlook Rush Rally 3.

Naughty Dog could concentrate on its true strenghts next time to create an absolutely remarkable game. The Last of Us Part II illustrates one of the best virtual worlds ever seen in a videogame and it even gives you a glimpse at a game that it could have become. A game full of emotions, ups and downs and diverse exploration and combat gameplay. The overall experience is let down by a few holes in the narrative as well as the general Naughty Dog gameplay formula that's been refined since 2013 but still hasn't aged very well.

80 / 100 - The Touryst
Sep 16, 2020

The Touryst feels like a tiny game at first - but it reveals a lot of depth and freedom in the end. Especially fascinating is the super smooth gameplay and performance. The only thing I was missing in the end was a kind of bigger narrative to support the overall atmosphere.

80 / 100 - Townscaper
Jan 6, 2022

Townscaper is about this one thing: Take your time to build your city. Those cities are colorful and full of details. A game as relaxed as it can be. Just a little bit of life is missing from its creations.

I can imagine that in a few years, Sword and Fairy will be a big RPG series in the west. Some things need to be optimised in the next game but there are many things to love: A great story, superb characters, a beautiful world and the soundtrack just to name a few.

80 / 100 - Dorfromantik
Sep 29, 2022

Dorfromantik shows beautifully that combining relaxed gameplay with strategical depth works. You can play Dorfromantik to just create your own, nice world. Or you can dive into the specialities of its gameplay mechanics to build really well-designed worlds.

80 / 100 - Makis Adventure
May 14, 2023

I would have preferred to go without the frustrating bossfights, but apart from that, Makis Adventure is a well-crafted indie game with a great atmosphere and lots and lots of attention to detail.

Omega Force delivers much more than a typical Musou game. Fate/Samurai Remnant has a deep story and nice gameplay elements, even though a few things get a bit too repetitive when you look at the time one playthrough of the game takes.
