The playable characters in Clan O'Connell and the Crown of the Stag are individually unique and the players must have some reflexes that support the knowledge of what each character is capable of. Although the entire run may feel a bit short, you would give yourself some credit for being able to complete the game with a balanced use of all the playable casts played while switching them in real time. You may feel that there is a lack of ‘new game plus’ or extra content after clearing it for the first time.

The overall impression of the game makes it look like a complete package for those who may be playing them for the first time. On top of the full bundle including the previous iterations, they’ve managed to add in elements that will improve some quality of life. It still packs quite a challenge that would provide the urge to come up with clever strategies to beat if you decide to go solo. You may take your bet online and try to cooperate with a complete stranger, but the experience won’t always be positive when communications aren’t handled the right way. Even if you’re playing with your best mate, beware of some situations that could potentially leave a mark in your friendship.

80 / 100 - Märchen Forest
Jan 25, 2021

The game’s main interests are discovering endless mysteries during the dungeon exploration. Plot of the game shifts dramatically once your main quests in the forest are complete. Once you enter deep underground, It’s as if you’re playing a completely different game. There are plenty of side quests to keep you seated as well. Be careful once you commit to a long session in the dungeons though, as the player can easily get disoriented as the maps for your reference are intentionally hidden away from your grasp.

Necronator: Dead Wrong is a simplified real-time strategy (RTS) simulator. At first you’d think that this looks similar to a typical tower defence game. But honestly, even if you think this way, you would get your ways around playing this game. Since strategy is key, you cannot just spam the most strongest units until the end. Basic understanding of taking one step back to advance more steps is somewhat required. The downside is, once the fundamentals are mastered, most of the later stages become repetitive. Thankfully, developers are considering more playable contents so look out for those updates in the near future.

80 / 100 - Disc Room
Oct 26, 2020

Disc Room requires the players to focus every second of the gameplay. Sometimes you’d even think that the developers want you to suffer and feel pain as if they are enjoying torturing the players because of their lack of skills. But there are still parts where they considered the wide range of players who would try an easier difficulty or apply less violent visuals. Even if you’re not a fan of the bullet-hell genre, give this game a go to. There aren’t much games out there that openly show ‘consideration’ for their players.

Don’t be fooled by its cute little looks, Plebby Quest: The Crusades is actually a really well made strategy game. You may need some time to get used to if you’ve never played a strategy and planning style games but the game progressively teaches the players what to do as you play along. The theme is pretty simple looking and enjoyable for long sessions. If you’re a super serious gamer, perhaps it may not be the most seriously styled game you’re looking for.
