Liked-a-lot - Suika Game
Dec 14, 2023

Suika Game is a cheap, fun, addictive little game with some of the most adorable faces ever before seen on fruit. It’s soothing to play, fun for the whole family, and a wonderful addition to any Nintendo Switch library. If you are looking for a goofy, last-minute gift or something to do with a Switch gift card, Suika Game is the best US $3 you can spend.

DREAMERS: A Nostalgic Adventure seems like a super fun game with a lot of heart, a cute and cozy story and many puzzles. Unfortunately I didn’t get to play much of this title because of the issues I was having. I would suggest that if you want to play the game you chose one of the other consoles.

Liked-a-lot - Snakebird Complete
Nov 28, 2023

Based on many other reviews of Snakebird Complete, I think it might just be me. But just because Snakebird didn’t pull me in doesn’t mean that I can’t recognize how polished, aesthetic, and without bugs it was. If you like goofy puzzle games, Snakebird might just be the perfect little snake-like for you.

Loved - Ugly
Nov 21, 2023

I haven’t quite finished Ugly, but I am definitely going to. So far, it’s been without bugs, fun, interesting, unique, and has a wonderful story. The environment is so rich with details that it tells its own story; the mechanics are interesting and different. I love the music, the movement, and everything about Ugly, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

At Winter’s End is okay. I didn’t fall in love with it, and the dice rolling aspect didn’t add anything to the game. However, it is super cute, beautifully rendered, and worth a playthrough if you like visual novels.

I really like these games, and Hidden Cats of Spooky Town especially. The art is lovely, the game is relaxing, the music is nice. It’s overall a pretty clean experience. I only had one small issue while playing: some of the Hidden Kittens on moving objects have kind of small hitboxes, making them hard to click on as they ride away in a balloon or car or whatever. I think that just a tiny bit more wiggle room in those particular hitboxes would make a massive difference in how good this game feels to play. To be honest, that was the only issue I had with Hidden Cats of Spooky Town. I love this little game, and I look forward to whatever beautiful artwork comes next from these very talented artists.

Sweet Dreams Alex is a polished, relaxing, fun puzzle game with a lot of heart. Everything from the color scheme to the levels is well planned, and I am deeply surprised with how much content there is in this game. There are different kinds of levels, difficulty modes, and plenty to do. I really couldn’t come up with a single complaint about this amazing puzzle game.

Overall, Dreaming Diorama is fine. The puzzles are interesting and could be relaxing if the business doesn’t bother you like it did me. I like the concept, and I think it runs very smoothly on my PC. Overall, it’s an okay game that just needs a little love.

Liked-a-lot - Midnight Girl
Oct 5, 2023

I love Midnight Girl. I love point-and-click adventures, and this scratches the itch I’ve had for a good one since I finished up Lucy Dreaming a whole year ago. It’s fun, it’s beautiful, it’s smooth and polished, and the music is good. I cannot recommend this game enough. It’s great fun with a whole lot of personality in it!

Just go out and get this game; if you love puzzles, pick up Station to Station. It’s one of the most beautiful examples of a passion project gone right I’ve seen this year. And this year has had a lot of fantastic games!

I love Stick to the Plan. I love how it looks, how polished it is, and how fun the puzzles are. A hint system and this game would have a perfect, Two-Thumbs Up rating in my book!

Moonstone Island is everything I wanted from a little farm simulation that’s also a Pokemon battler that’s also a deck-based system. It is everything I didn’t even know I wanted; the graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is soothing, the animations are polished, and the artwork is stunning. I love Moonstone Island and think you will love it here too

Mixed - Apothecary
Sep 18, 2023

Overall, Apothecary has a very “first game” kind of feel to it. It’s a fun premise, but it’s dizzying and difficult. I think it needs some love and playtesting, but it has a good foundation for a fun, relaxing game that could possibly go places.

Yes, the puzzles in Twistingo: Turtle Bay Collector’s Edition are nothing new. Yes, the faces are weird, and maybe it’s just a little too much of the same as other similar games. But you know what? It’s relaxing and fun. I had a good time playing it. If you like games like this, you will like this one. It’s simple, it’s clean, it’s polished. But it is nothing new to write home about.

Loved - Beecarbonize
Sep 13, 2023

The premise of Beecarbonize is very simple, clean, and thought-provoking. There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles in this game, but you can feel the amount of time and effort that went into every aspect of it. The sound design, clarity, and polish in each aspect of this game’s design are very well done. It’s really beautiful from a game design perspective; and it’s proof that games don’t have to be complex with state-of-the-art graphics and high budgets to be thoughtful and effective. I cannot even begin to explain how infuriating, challenging, and thoughtful Beecarbonize is. And all of it in a very, very good way. I would suggest everyone play it; it’s an inexpensive little game with much love and intent poured into every aspect, and I can’t hype this game up enough.

Liked-a-lot - Tiny Witch
Sep 1, 2023

Tiny Witch is beautiful, adorable, wholesome, and so much fun. I loved building up my stores and collecting pets; the rat is definitely my favourite (I named my rat pet Speedy). But that being said, Tiny Witch is pretty challenging. You need to be on your game and fast; there is no relaxing in the minion business! So, if you also love stressful, fun games, you should pick up Tiny Witch for yourself

I cannot recommend this game enough. I won’t even bother with a Cons section in this article because I don’t know what I would even say against it. It’s fun, well-priced, replayable, beautiful, and filled to the brim with gorgeous music. What more could RPG, visual novel, and musical fans want? It’s so well polished that I can’t think of a single thing that I would change or add. What a delight from start to finish Stray Gods was. Play it; you won’t regret it!

Loved - Viewfinder
Jul 17, 2023

Viewfinder is one of the most unique puzzle games out there right now. It feels like a Myst or a The Witness with its deep lore and beautifully-rendered world. It feels hopeful and lovely. It messes with your head like Echochrome. It feels gorgeous and real. The characters are charming, unique, and special. The puzzles are challenging and well done. Each set of levels is distinct; each plays with the favourite kind of puzzles of the scientist that lived in it. The whole thing feels lived in, worked in, and loved. Overall, I cannot be happier with Viewfinder than I am. This game is a complete experience and one that I was very sad to see end. I am absolutely blown away by the game’s physics, how polished it is, and how well everything works together. In all honesty, I don’t think two thumbs up is enough.

Overall, Maze Of Realities: Reflection Of Light is great. There is an okay story, beautiful backgrounds, and passible humanoid animations. The all-important puzzles are well done, fun to complete, and players can choose their difficulty when playing through. There are some incredibly silly things in the story because of the animation style, but nothing outside of what to expect with these types of hidden item puzzle games. If you’re here for anything else but the puzzles, you will be disappointed. That being said, the puzzles more than make up for everything else. As I said at the beginning of the review for Maze Of Realities: Reflection Of Light if you like this sort of game already, you’ll love this one too. It’s a fun puzzle game with a lot of pretty backgrounds. And that’s all I want from one of the hidden item adventures.
