MakeRoom is a simple interior designer sandbox that allows you to explore three distinct modes. Despite having no story, the endless creative freedom will have you hooked for hours, all while providing a cozy, stress-free experience.
If you like decorating games that have very little guidance and won’t tell you what to do, MakeRoom is a perfect game for you. It’s cozy, it’s aesthetic, and the vibes are on point. I had no issues with the game really, and I think there are loads of creative types out there who would love this game a lot. I can’t recommend MakeRoom enough. It’s almost perfect, and I look forward to playing it again once the community has had the opportunity to make a bunch more items and put them up for others to download and play with.
MakeRoom puts focus on creativity and design, and very minimal in structure beyond learning mechanics. For some this comes off less game and more sandbox, but that definitely isn’t a bad thing. Instead it gives players the tools to design without pressure or parameters. An open space to explore their own imagination.
MakeRoom is a warm and comfortable way to unwind after a busy day, and lets you be as creative as you want as you set up your adorable little dioramas.
It is a heartfelt, cozy, and impressive creative playground, especially remarkable for a solo developer, and a fantastic pick for anyone who loves to design at their own pace. I recommend you try it for yourself and let me know what you build.
MakeRoom is one of the better room decoration diorama options out there, offering more and looking better than something like My Cozy Room.
