It's clear from the start that Liberation HD is a remake of a Vita-game. Some mechanics are really interesting tough, like the costume-system, but are on the other hand poorly implemented. At the end of the day it's an interesting, but lesser Assassin's Creed.

The announcement of Garden Warfare was an odd one, but in the end it turns out to be a brilliant decision. Garden Warfare is colourful, funny, challenging, cheap and within a few months new content will make up for the lack of game-modes.

4 / 10.0 - Monochroma
Jun 8, 2014

It's easy to fall in love with Monochroma's style, but the stiff and slow responsiveness of the controls and the annoying brother on your back, makes it a tough challenge to complete the game.

7 / 10.0 - Hohokum
Aug 30, 2014

Hohokum is a really relaxing game, with brightly colored worlds and soothing music, but people looking for a challenge are at the wrong address with Hohokum.

8.5 / 10.0 - CounterSpy
Aug 30, 2014

CounterSpy is an interesting stealth-game, with a mix between 2D- and 3D-gameplay. The graphical style and music top this amazing, little game off.

8.5 / 10.0 - Destiny
Sep 12, 2014

Although Destiny is a great game, we expected it to be a bit bigger. Nonetheless, it plays amazingly, has some beautiful planets and we look forward to the raids in the future.

8.5 / 10.0 - Deathtrap
Feb 2, 2015

Deathtrap is a fresh combination of an action RPG and a Tower Defense-game. The game is quite challenging with a steep learning curve, but repays that with great mechanics, 4-player co-op and a cheap price.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D makes the promise of the New 3DS' power a reality. It's marvelous to play such a huge game on a handheld, although it could have been a bit sharper. Nonetheless, this game is the same blockbuster as it was years before.

2 / 10.0 - The Last Dogma
Jul 11, 2015

The Last Dogma is quite ambitious, if you look at all the influences from other games. However, the game fails at almost every aspect. Aside from the fact that it's almost unplayable, the story is the most lacking. This is especially bad for a story-driven game.

Bandai Namco seems to want to rake in even more money with Sword Art Online Re Hollow Fragment with the same game that was also released on the PSP. The resolution has been bumped up a bit, but the game still looks ugly and has still taken a nosedive in terms of framerate. The game does offer a lot of content, but that content is not exactly fun to play.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns is a good first expansion for ArenaNet's MMO. The new Elite Specializations and The Revenant are interesting. Maguuma is an awesome place, too bad there weren't more areas to explore.

9 / 10.0 - XCOM 2
Feb 1, 2016

XCOM 2 is a perfect sequel to Enemy Unknown. The core is almost the same, but is rock solid and the new setting is an excellent base for a wide diversity in missions. Only the graphical compartment could have been improved.

Earth Defense Force 4.1 is quite a disappointment given it's a remaster. A full-price release is far from ideal for this game and things like the mediocre framerate and graphics don't work in its favour either. But if you make the step to play Earth Defense Force 4.1 co-op with your friends, it makes for a fun-level not many games have been able to reach.

Samurai Warriors 4: Empires is a good step in the right direction, with a lot more depth and strategics thanks to the Politics Phase. But the gameplay itself is still the same compared to the original and the graphics have not improved either.

9 / 10.0 - Overwatch

Overwatch is an extremely polished Hero Shooter and looks absolutely lovely. Teamwork is important and encourages interaction with your teammates. With Overwatch, Blizzard has delivered another masterpiece.

9 / 10.0 - F1 2016
Sep 5, 2016

F1 2016 is the ultimate revanche on F1 2015's lack of a Career-mode. F1 2016's Career Mode is meaty and perfectly executed. Alongside the lovely racing experience and multiple other modes, F1 2016 is an excellent game that is a must buy for F1-fans.

Warlords of Draenor disappointed a lot of fans, but Blizzard is back with Legion. The new areas look amazing and have a much bigger story, the Artifact Weapons add depth and Demon Hunters are awesome. Now we just need more content patches, Blizzard.

8 / 10.0 - Watch Dogs 2
Nov 14, 2016

Watch Dogs 2 has learned from the mistakes that Watch Dogs made. It has an interesting cast of characters, the city is full of colour and the smartphone is used well. It has some flaws however, but those don't take too much away from the experience.

8.5 / 10.0 - Tales of Berseria
Feb 6, 2017

Tales of Berseria is a surprise. The story and characters are dark, which is not expected of the series. The battle system got an upgrade, but the graphics have hardly improved. If you are looking for tens of hours of fun, this is the game.

9.5 / 10.0 - Nier: Automata
Mar 6, 2017

‎As far as we are concerned, the use of Platinum Games has been a golden move by Yoko Taro. In Nier Automata, the team of the Japanese brain has created a mysterious and beautiful world, with a story in which you constantly doubt yourself. Meanwhile, Platinum Games has delivered a brilliant combat system, complete with extremely smooth animations and surprising depth. The Nier Automata release may fall a bit unhappily between big names like ‎‎The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‎‎ and ‎‎Horizon: Zero Dawn,‎‎ but it would be a shame to let this game pass you by.‎
