Overall, if you like the Metroidvania style gameplay and concept you will very likely enjoy this game. Keeping in mind this is Yanim Studio's first attempt at a game I'm willing to forgive them some of the minor transgressions I came across. For what it's worth I think it's a strong debut featuring a fun concept and great visuals so I look forward to what else Yanim has on the horizon.
Visiting the sadistic circus is definitely not what it seems. You will find yourself enjoying the majority of your time at Penarium. The graphics and controls draw you in and make it easy to play. The charm and difficulty is what makes you stay.
Zen Studios brings the fun and excitement of a pinball game and your favorite show to your own home. Addictive, witty, colorful and easy to play but hard to master, this pinball pack is a winner.
The style of this game is what drew me in at the start. Flashy animations with a unique design that reminds me a bit of a cartoon film noir.
You can definitely see the passion for retro games of the past with Ninja Senki DX.
While the art style is creative, it just isn’t very nice to look at.
And did I mention it includes the original Maniac Mansion as well?
Do not be fooled by the cute characters and colors, this game can get very challenging.
The Aliens table is the star out of the three here with its creepy tone, selectable missions and the perfect mix of challenge.
Ghostbusters incorporates a local co-op mode where you can play with a friend which would be a nice addition if the game was any fun.
Super Mutant Alien Assault has a long name and a lot of heart. The challenging gameplay mixed with sharp looking graphics and fairly good sound, all work to create an entertaining but short-lasting game. In the end it is an enjoyable little distraction when you just want to jump into a game and have only a small amount of time to do so.
Friday the 13th: Ultimate Slasher Edition is not perfect by any means, but it is a perfect representation of the movie series as a whole. By providing players thrills and tense moments any Nintendo Switch owning horror fan should enjoy it, even with some of its deficiencies.
The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series really is just that, a truly definitive final edition of the entire series. I recommend this game to every single person who may play games, even those who may not be a fan of the play-style this game utilizes. In the end, this is a definitive game not only in the genre it exists in, but it is also one of the more definitive games in the history of gaming.
LEGO Jurassic World has everything you love about the Jurassic Park movies but with that familiar LEGO touch.
But I can only recommend this version if you have no other means of playing it. If you have only a Nintendo Switch and this type of game interests you, I recommend it, maybe even with the lights out, headphones on, and volume up.
No one needs to use any Jedi Mind tricks to make you play it though as I cannot recommend Star Wars Pinball enough.
New Super Lucky’s Tale delivers a platformer for the whole family to enjoy by being easy to play, visually appealing and introducing a new and clever mascot to the Nintendo faithful. I sure hope we get to see more of Lucky in the future.
Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection is an easy recommendation.
Rebellion really has perfected the zombie shooter.
Oddmar is an action platformer that is full of visual beauty and substance, and it is very fun to play.
