8 / 10.0 - Denshattack!
Jul 15, 2026

Even so, it is precisely because it doesn't try to be like the others that *Denshattack!* wins you over. In a market where so many titles follow well-worn formulas, this small project chooses to take a chance on a highly unlikely concept—and manages to make it work. For anyone who grew up playing *Tony Hawk*, *Crazy Taxi*, or even *Jet Set Radio*, it’s impossible not to smile throughout the adventure. I never thought I’d write this sentence, but here we are: now I can say I was around back when a train driver managed to turn a train into a skateboard.

Ultimately, I was left with the impression that *The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales* is a game that constantly wavers between what it is and what it could have been. The foundation is solid, the combat remains fun from start to finish, and the art direction once again demonstrates why HD-2D has become one of Square Enix's greatest strengths. Its limitations lie in the narrative—which explores time travel less than the premise suggested—as well as in exploration, which loses some impact due to frequent asset reuse, and a progression system that settles into a comfort zone too early. None of these issues truly ruin the experience, but together, they prevent it from reaching the next level. When the credits rolled, the prevailing feeling wasn't exactly disappointment, but rather a sense of missed opportunity. I enjoyed myself throughout, and it is easy to recommend this adventure to anyone looking for an accessible, visually stunning action RPG. There is a lingering sense that the team had all the ingredients to create something special but ultimately played it too safe. Perhaps that is precisely what holds it back from making the leap from a good adventure to a truly memorable experience.

8.5 / 10.0 - Saros
May 18, 2026

Ultimately, Saros comes to represent exactly what this review's title suggests: a studio's identity. Not because it attempts to safely replicate the *Returnal* formula, but because it showcases a Housemarque that is far more self-aware regarding its own strengths. The combat remains addictive, the atmosphere retains a hypnotic, comforting quality, and the blend of intense action and introspective storytelling achieves a level of maturity the studio hadn't quite reached before. Despite a few less inspired moments during progression and a certain structural familiarity that prevents the game from delivering the same initial shock as *Returnal*, Saros manages to establish itself as more than just a spiritual successor. There is evident confidence in every creative decision, as if Housemarque has finally struck the perfect balance between visual spectacle, gameplay, and narrative identity. And perhaps that is precisely what makes Saros so compelling. It is not a game concerned with reinventing everything that came before. It is a game crafted by a studio whose true identity is finally revealed.

7 / 10.0 - Grind Survivors
Mar 30, 2026

In short, Grind Survivors stands out as a solid entry in an increasingly saturated genre, managing to carve out a distinct identity—primarily through its progression system. While not every idea is executed perfectly, the game offers a compelling enough foundation to hold one's attention, particularly for those already familiar with the genre. Its niche appeal might deter non-fans—myself included—yet I still feel Grind Survivors is the kind of game that is perfect to keep installed and play in short bursts, whether to relieve daily stress or simply to revel in the chaos of ceaselessly mowing down demons.

7 / 10.0 - A.I.L.A
Dec 8, 2025

Ultimately, A.I.L.A is an ambitious project that succeeds in many areas, particularly in building psychological tension and creating an atmospheric soundscape. The premise of the adaptive AI and the moments of subtle unease are undoubtedly the game's core, delivering memorable experiences. On the other hand, technical flaws and combat mechanics limit the game's potential, making certain segments repetitive and diminishing the overall impact of the experience. It is, therefore, a title worth playing for those seeking psychological horror and perception-challenging puzzles, though it also requires patience to deal with its execution issues.

Ultimately, the Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake strikes an exemplary balance between tradition and modernity. It respects the genre's foundations while breathing new life into them through updated visuals and mechanics. It is a tribute to JRPG roots, serving both as an entry point for those who never played the originals and as a heartwarming return for those who grew up with the series. Beyond mere nostalgia, this remake proves that classics remain impactful—provided they receive the care and sensitivity evident in this Square Enix release.

8.5 / 10.0 - Battlefield 6
Oct 27, 2025

Overall, Battlefield 6 delivers on its promise to revitalize the series, offering intense and strategic multiplayer with large-scale battles, balanced classes, and a vast, customizable arsenal. The single-player campaign, while short, serves as an introduction to the mechanics and tone of war, but it's actually the title's weakest point. Portal mode grants nearly infinite creative freedom, while daily and weekly goals and class progression keep players motivated to return. Visually and sonically, the game is immersive on the PS5, with solid performance, detailed destruction, and immersive sound that transports the player to the heart of the action. With all this, DICE demonstrates that it has learned from past mistakes and finally delivers a title that can reclaim its place at the top and win the battle for the shooter throne.

In the end, Midnight Murder Club delivers on its promise: an experience full of suspense, laughter, and twists, where every round is unpredictable and every session with friends becomes a spectacle of chaos and fun. With its varied modes, simple yet effective mechanics, and the convenience of the Guest Pass edition, the game unites groups, creates memorable moments, and ensures no one wants to leave Wormwood Manor any time soon. For those looking for a game that combines tension, comedy, and competitiveness among friends in balanced doses, Midnight Murder Club is undoubtedly a must-have.

Nightreign isn't a new milestone in FromSoftware's history—it's a bold departure that trades the vastness of exploration for the urgency of shared survival. It's a less grandiose but more focused experience, where every decision matters and every victory is earned together. It may not appeal to purists, but for those who embrace this new approach, there's an addictive and demanding formula here that rewards dedication and cooperation. It's not the next Souls epic, but it's a reminder that FromSoftware still knows how to surprise—even when it trades the epic for the ephemeral, solitude for shared chaos.

6 / 10.0 - Star Overdrive
Jun 18, 2025

Star Overdrive is, therefore, a game that starts with a good idea and offers a captivating aesthetic, but fails to sustain interest over time. Repetition, inconsistent mechanics, a story that, while interesting, fails to deliver true emotion, and the emptiness of its world ultimately undermine the journey's impact. It's an experience that has its moments—especially for those who enjoy games with strong artistic direction and a more restrained length—but falls short of its true potential.

7.5 / 10.0 - Blades of Fire
Jun 2, 2025

Blades of Fire doesn't try to reinvent the genre, but rather reinvents itself within its own rules. By abandoning the traditional leveling system and focusing all progression on forging and weapon customization, it offers a more focused and cohesive experience. It may not appeal to everyone—especially those seeking more accessible approaches—but those willing to face its challenges will find a rich, engaging, and memorable adventure. MercurySteam thus creates a title that honors its influences without ever becoming hostage to them, and that proves there's still room for innovation within a well-established formula. Blades of Fire is, above all, a game of endurance—physical, emotional, and creative—where every battle won, every weapon forged, and every step taken into the unknown counts.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 isn't just a game—it's an experience that stays with you. The unique combination of engaging narrative, deeply human characters, challenging combat mechanics, and a visually stunning world gives every moment within this universe a weight that transcends the digital realm. Its ability to make us feel every emotion, every loss, every victory, is a rare and remarkable feat in the world of video games. Its longevity lies not only in the number of hours we spend playing, but in the depth of connection we're able to establish with it. In a landscape where many productions fall into repetitive formulas, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 offers something truly memorable: a journey of emotion, reflection, and growth. For those seeking not just a game, but a lifelong experience, this is a work that will remain—and for everyone else, an invitation to discover what is most human and beautiful in video games. Don't get hung up on labels that, for many, can be off-putting, like being an RPG or having turn-based combat. This is a painting. A masterpiece.

9.5 / 10.0 - Split Fiction
Mar 17, 2025

Split Fiction shines both for its originality and for its ability to provide an entertaining, emotional, and, at times, challenging experience. Hazelight Studios once again succeeds in creating a captivating narrative where cooperation is not only essential but also deeply integrated into every aspect of the game. It's not just a continuation of the studio's legacy, it's a celebration of everything that makes cooperation in video games magical.

In the end, Synduality Echo of Ada presented itself as an interesting proposal in the action RPG genre, but it fails in many aspects that prevent a more engaging experience. The initial premise is captivating and the post-apocalyptic world has a lot of potential, but the repetitiveness of the raids, the lack of depth in combat and customizations, in addition to the technical problems, make the game unsatisfactory in the long run. The sound is, without a doubt, one of the few positive points that manages to keep the player immersed in the dark atmosphere, but it is not enough to mask the flaws in the gameplay. With some updates and improvements, the game may be able to fix some of these problems, but for now, Synduality Echo of Ada is a casual, simple and repetitive experience, which fails to maintain enthusiasm after the first few hours of play.

Until Dawn is an interactive horror experience that, despite some technical flaws and animation inconsistencies, manages to offer a memorable narrative and an immersive environment. The game's ability to create suspense and tension, supported by an excellent soundtrack, maintains the player's interest throughout the story. There is an effort to update a well-rated title, although the characters' movements and facial expressions can break immersion at certain moments, the rich plot and meaningful choices make up for these imperfections. Even with its flaws, Until Dawn manages to provoke emotions that rival the best psychological horror experiences, becoming an important reference for fans of the genre.

7.5 / 10.0 - EA Sports FC 25
Oct 10, 2024

EA Sports FC 25 remains the top choice for football fans. This is largely due to the lack of competition, but there are still new features to be highlighted: the more realistic and precise gameplay, the more practical Career Mode and, the big highlight, the new Rush mode. Overall, the FC 25 innovates some details, without losing the familiarity that we have become accustomed to, both good and bad.

With very visible changes compared to the first title, Darkest Dungeon II continues to be a game for those who find some pleasure in... repetition. With a challenging randomness system, we must always keep in mind that we never know how the expedition will go, that the strategy we prepared may be working one moment and, suddenly, our team may be dead and we have to start another expedition all over again. With this in mind: "Have courage. Do not give in. Go forward through the encroaching darkness and face your fears. Redemption, finally, can be found."

8 / 10.0 - Capes
Jun 21, 2024

There are few turn-based strategy games, but I can say: few but good, and Capes falls into this category. It appears with its own identity in a theme that could become uninspired, and it uses several well-crafted strategies to establish itself in this corner of video games. I believe that players who want to delve into this genre will find their entry title here.

7 / 10.0 - Horizon Chase 2
Jun 7, 2024

Like its previous titles, Brazilian developer Aquiris Game Studio has managed to show that this arcade genre is still appealing today. Horizon Chase 2 continues these ideas, making some small (well-made) changes to immerse players in this universe. I believe that this is a genre that will always be more appealing with a nostalgic effect, if well implemented, and that even new players will be able to have a pleasant and interesting experience here. It is a title to have in your library and invest some time in from time to time, thus avoiding feelings of repetition and monotony.
