It's not for everyone and Lies of P is a cruel experience for the more relaxed, but it has several details that are so well done that I recommend it to anyone who wants to delve into a new alternative universe of the story of Pinocchio and company. It doesn't have the prominence of, for example, Elden Ring, but it has its own identity that, let's not lie, lets the player get involved and feel a mix of positive emotions (and some less positive ones when we die).

Final Fantasy XVI is a page-turner. Better still, it's the beginning of a new book. Although there are some things that still bring to mind the weight that the name carries, Square Enix takes a completely different path in almost everything this experience gives us. It's a good story, with its exceptional peaks, but the climb up there is quite boring and difficult to digest. It feels that, somewhere in middle of the story there are repetitive moments of sloppiness that greatly undermined everything good that this Final Fantasy could provide us. I accept that the changes had to happen, but it leaves a bittersweet taste in the end.

Miasma Chronicles, as the title of this review indicates, is strategic enough. And I say this with the highest esteem. An interesting visual experience, where the main characters are well characterized in a pleasant narrative. Perhaps it fails in using its surroundings to increase the experience, something that I believe that fans of the style would certainly appreciate. However, with all the good things it brings, it doesn't minimize the experience in the least. It will certainly leave a significant impression on the player.

Wild Hearts brings some (but little) originality to a genre that is already quite beaten. Players who enjoy Monster Hunter, but who already feel saturated with it, will be able to find here some new mechanics that are quite interesting. We also highlight the monsters, which are well characterized and are not excessive, such as weapons (except their evolutions), armor and environments, it seems that (almost) everything has found its natural balance in Wild Hearts.

Wanted: Dead brings so much and at the same time, that as a player we are perplexed. That's way too many emotions for a game that doesn't make any effort to truly improve any of them. Despite everything, the evident humorous side takes us to the opposite of the most negative emotions that we could get from this experience, even reaching several moments of: "just go for another 10 minutes". I can't really recommend it, but honestly I can't tell you to put it away either. In my humble opinion, despite everything and the calamity of everything that the game brings, I will give it a positive note... just because it managed t9 make my comic persona won over my rational one!

Those who played the original version will really be able to feel some repetition to relive a game of this scale, but for the simple fact that it was a game that already marked a generation at the time. However, I believe that these players will still have their senses put to the test during game time. The graphic improvements that this new version brings are a delight, and even those who choose to play in performance mode will certainly not be disappointed. Anyone who has never played the game, whether they like the genre or not, shouldn't miss the growing suspense that Dead Space brings.

Anyone who plays Persona 4 will quickly notice that it is the basis for the creation of Persona 5. There is no escaping this reality. Fortunately, we are pleased to note that a game from 2008 still manages to present arguments to go head to head with another from 2016, or even the most recent releases from the Publisher. Despite all the similarities present, with this title in particular, the game presents a sufficiently interesting experience, demonstrating that there are titles, despite how old they are, they deserve to have an opportunity these days. Persona 4 Golden is one of them!

Need for Speed Unbound is a game quite interesting to drive, visually appealing and have countless cars to choose from (although we wont't ever have the money to buy them!). However, it becomes fatal and boring due to the repetition imposed, either by the racing, running from the police, or even the frustration of having to decide which tracks to do with all the nuances that entails. With the help of a good soundtrack, we can almost smell the Underground but unfortunately it's not quite there yet.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is a title to consider for several reasons. The fact that it incorporates the different mechanics in a balanced and non-excessive way makes it a very solid experience, the only sin being that this new version for PS5 does not add practically anything new compared to versions of previous generations. However, the humorous aspect present is really great and it gives a lot of pleasure, always with a smile on your face!

If Gotham Knights is an original game? No, but that does not detract from being a solid experience. Giving prominence and opportunity to secondary heroes to shine and being able to even switch between them, brings a healthy variety of distinct games in the genre. One of its strong points is definitely the interesting plot, relegating to the second line the leading role that Batman had in this world. There are some points that could be fixed in a simple way and maybe with updates they will, but overall it's a good superhero game with the usual atmosphere of the Batman universe. With the Multiplayer mode still being polished, we may have a few more hours of entertainment here to spend with friends or enthusiasts of this genre.

Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is a good action/adventure game that focuses on a diversified combat and narrative to bring a pleasant experience to the player. There are a few opportunities of improvement, such as the simplistic textures (which also tend to become repetitive) or the lack of guidance features in the map or cenarios (which tend to difficultate our navigation to the objective). Still, in a global context, these are aspects that don't spoil the experience much and we recommended our readers to give the irreverent Hilda a chance!

The Legend of Heroes : Trails From Zero is an excellent, and I reiterate, excellent RPG title for fans. Being associated with a saga helps in that respect, because we always want more, and the Trails saga gives us more. It takes some patience to endure the slow but interesting development of the plot, where the care taken to unite these four characters and their different personalities is palpable, making us immerse ourselves in the story that is presented. This charisma, allied to the captivating strategic combats, makes this creation a title to take into account even today.

Trek to Yomi is, in our humble opinion, an experience mandatory for all players. A surprising experience, which brings a breath of fresh air to the current videogame market, while presenting visually beautiful graphics and a captivating story. A videogame that makes you absorve the lacking colors and immerse ourselves in these tons of grey that awaken our senses, where both Japanese history and mythology are well represented.

Answering our title question, if Strangers of Paradise deserves to have Final Fantasy in the title, our answer is adamant: it does not. There was no relevant care in several factors to even be a game that can be enjoyed. The story doesn't have a logical plot, the game-play becomes repetitive and especially the graphic aspect is a blunt (sorry for the repetition of the term)... Chaos. We sincerely hope that Final Fantasy XVI will erase this spinoff from memory, with the certainty that until then the name of Square Enix does not bring us the joy it once did.

Being Monark an RPG developed by ex-producers of Shin Mengami Tensei, it's natural to notice some similarities. Particularly regarding the school theme, the mute main character or pacts with demons. What we emphasize in Monark is exactly the opposite. Namely, all the changes that were considered in order to give a breath of fresh air and, brilliantly, provide a new direction to an already very defined genre. So Monark presents itself as something innovative that only lacks some graphic polish, but for fans of the style, they will certainly be able to suffer from some "Gluttony" to taste this game! We fully believe that there is a silver lining for a Monark 2 and we're hopping for that to happen, so that we can present the developers with the "sin" of Pride.

It is accurate to say that BlackWind didn't present anything really inovating, but it combined several formulas (successfully) and presented a very pleasant experience. A title for players who like different styles and enjoy a gratifying gameplay, without many compromises. Nevertheless, we highlight the available difficulty modes (which are reflected in enemy fire rates and higher HP), which manage to adjust this title, from a more casual to a more frantic experience.

Unfortunately it has started to be recurrent in the video game industry to release titles as "unfinished" and where BattleField 2042 seems to fit perfectly. But despite that, we believe that with the implementation of several patches, all the bugs we found in the game can be solved and EA and DICE give a clear shot with the new dynamics inserted.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is the series' second entry in the West, denoting a clear and concrete growth of its peculiarities. For us it's clear that the saga is on the right path to becoming a heavyweight, with the ability to easily face the most recognized RPG's that are deeply enshrined in the video game market. Certainly there are some flaws, but overall they have little impact on the transmitted experience. With a pleasurable plot to discover and surpass, its virtues left us delighted and clinging to the command!

Phoenix Point is an excellent retainer for fans of turn-based strategy games. Despite being a style that doesn't have a wide range of connoisseurs, it is still well defined in all aspects and with a deep strategic system to be considered by those who want to try it. The flaws noted do not leave negative feelings that prevent us from enjoying this title. If you want to try the genre, here without a doubt is an excellent option. For fans, including those who have probably played the X-COM titles, they won't feel that it's a copy. Certainly with some similarities, it's true, but with quite a different feeling.

Crytek defines Crysis Remastered as an epic singleplayer experience. Both Crysis 2 and 3 are on par with newer first-person shooters, achieving great association with the characters and introducing a captivating storyline and theme. It's really a shame they didn't take the same care in refining the first title to make this experience complete. A clear opportunity for improvement in this set. However, its inclusion in this package is essential. We strongly recommend it if you want to relive this epic saga. If you're fans of first person shooters and focusing on single-player campaigns, it's also an experience to behold.
