In the Mushroom Kingdom there is life beyond the plumber. That is why it is a pleasure to see how the Princess takes the reins of the game to lift it herself. With a strong focus on the little ones, the simplicity of the levels is accompanied by a plot that is easy to understand, but that still shows high moments (such as the final battle). The transformations in the different archetypes will be accompanied by a change in the gameplay, becoming a succession of phases in which we will try different approaches and mini-games. For the most dedicated players who feel that this title will not have any challenge, there are collectibles that will be difficult to obtain in the first round, unlocking added challenges at the end of the game (in addition to the trials). Without a doubt, it is a pleasant approach for the new generation to start playing different genres while being protected by a friendlier adventure.

Taxi Life A City Drive Simulator evolves the basic control of any arcade mode, offering new layers that will make you suffer when trying to reach everything, but that will become smoother with experience and learning. The control of the vehicles will be similar, only changing some options that will allow you to access some clients or others. Customization works both in the mechanics and in the cosmetic section, the first being something essential to avoid some accidents. The recreation of the city is wonderful. It is one of the great points, although it ends up being more maligned due to the irregular AI, the graphical errors and the fairer performance on several occasions.

With a clear facelift, Another Code Recollection arrives on the Switch with the burden of satisfying veterans while adapting for the new audience. Its changes are noticeable from the beginning with this variation in the gameplay and the conception of the puzzles. The adventures, linked together as if they were two chapters of the same book, are modified to draw lines that merge them and adapt them to a general narrative (which does not always remain aligned with what was previously seen)

Ubisoft had a complicated task and that was to translate the perceptions of a world they had created for the film medium. However, based on her experience with open worlds, she seemed at the same time best suited for such a task. In this way, Frontiers of Pandora stands out as the best conversion of Avatar to the world of video games (we must not forget the 2009 title). The story that develops throughout the adventure is not very different from what we have known (good guys against bad guys), although they have already confirmed that it is canonical and that it will be related to the events of the third film. What stands out most is the volcano's love for recreating Pandora and its cultures. Thus, the gameplay is nourished by an incredible setting in which you want to move continuously (whether on land or in the air). Being able to embody a Na'vi and learn from their customs, in the end, becomes one of the best points of the game, allowing us to feel more and more involved in what is happening to that place. Although not everything is perfect, the simple story is complemented by some rather irregular animations and a Spanish dubbing.

Age of Sigmar: Realms of ruin is presented for multiple players: those fans who end up attracted by the story and its world, those who want to enjoy the tactical combat and those who will use this as an entry into the saga. With its own style, this real-time strategy game shows decent gameplay, having a lot of good ideas, but they are weighed down by some decisions. Of course, the story is solid and fun, offering between twelve and fifteen hours of games (depending on skill). The variety of situations will challenge the player who, after learning the controls, will be able to face the different modes, Conquest being one of the most complicated if you do not choose the level well. The creative aspect ends up being magnificent, due to the amount of possibilities in terms of scenario design and army configuration. It is not a perfect game, but fans will enjoy seeing their figures in motion, while tactics lovers will test their skills.

After an initial title published in 2021 that laid the foundations, Milestone once again takes the reins of the project to offer a delivery that seeks to add new features and complete a larger project. And it is true that everything has increased. The story mode presents one that, with a childish touch, gives a justification to the races we take. The game modes have grown and the number of vehicles (in addition to the classes) is more than a hundred, which I am sure will increase based on some DLC (some already available). In addition, the mechanics have been expanded, adding more possibilities to the circuits and the player, who can create their own. If you are one of those who enjoyed the first installment, you will find this a more than satisfactory continuation and, if you like the brand, you will discover in collecting a motivation to stay in it. Of course, it is a shame that they leave the expansion of levels through the creative mode in the hands of the community (which is a wonder in itself), in addition to the fact that the added skills do not quite feel new within the arcade style. That is why at times it makes us think of other titles that are more complete.

One More Level returns to the world it created in Ghostrunner (2020) to deliver a product that improves on its predecessor in all aspects. With this philosophy that any mistake is penalized, they develop demanding gameplay that requires players to give their best to finish. Already in the first stages we will learn to live with the message of death, but thanks to its fast loading speed, it will not take long for us to be moving again, reducing frustration. In addition to the skills from the previous game, new ones are added that our protagonist will unlock throughout the adventure and that will allow us to advance through the mapping or successfully solve puzzles and combats. Because in the end everything acts like an accelerated puzzle where many decisions will have to be made in seconds.

The adventure, like the original, is aimed at a more children's audience, so its level of complexity may end up being a nuisance for people who were expecting a challenge. Despite this, we found the story interesting and, although it has a slow start, there comes a moment when you are eager to move forward and learn more. If you are one of those who love detective games, you have to know that this one will be simpler, but it is easy for you to end up liking it. If you love Pokémon more than anything, get it!

Silent Hope is a game that catches the eye with its visual proposal based on the anime and the Marvelous! titles. Unlike titles like the aforementioned Cult of the Lamb, the parallel mechanics do not quite mesh, potentially reducing much of the appeal from the beginning. The possibility of using several characters expands the playable mechanics, but at the same time encourages you to depend on just one of them and ignore the rest, something that can be done and that is not penalized at all. In this way, when you only find yourself with the need to "feed" one of them, the use of the other game mechanics becomes punctual and does not really shine. The camp area could be used a lot and even more so considering that the game continues after the end, offering an interesting endgame with many possibilities (and difficulties). Furthermore, it is curious how little personality the characters end up developing. Without a doubt, it is a game with many possibilities, but they do not all work in the same direction.

Calathea Game Studio takes Alzheimer's as its starting point and, after learning about it, they build a story where its central character suffers from said disorder. With a gameplay linked to puzzles and constant iteration, we are presented with a redemption story of a father who walks on the edge of two worlds: the one he is currently suffering while fighting to continue being him and the one who confronts him with his past and the actions that separated him from his daughter. With a slow development, we are shown the different elements that string together the plot while the symptoms that Henry is suffering from become more evident. With an aesthetic artistic design and emotive and enveloping music, they manage to get you into the adventure of your own identity and after almost four hours of playing you end up crying.

Minabo has a particular and successful artistic style, the game throws us to take control of the continuous reiterations of turnip lives. The game is committed to the individual creation of the stories, but offering mechanics that will allow us to achieve different situations that will take us from total stress when fleeing from a lethal pursuer to recognizing that we have lived a full life surrounded by loved ones. We find ourselves with an experimental game that has sought to capture in a very particular way the importance of human relations, offering that double reading and reflection.

Capcom has found a vein in the remakes of its classic games, remaking them with the love they deserve and showing that this saga is one of the great pedestals of the industry. Everything has changed, to a greater or lesser extent. The story continues to be the same, but the additions round out the product and tie it to the other deliveries. The gameplay offers enough novelties for newbies to feel new and for veterans to feel the challenge of fighting the memory and adjusting to the current form. The entire graphic section has been improved and updated, being evocative in the creation of terror, although the version for the previous generation suffers.

Pokémon Scarlet and Purple became a meme before it even came out and every trickle of information served to feed the desire and the feeling that yes, this was going to be the good one after many others. But the day of publication arrived. It is inevitable to talk about the performance errors and technical failures that populate the game, offering a disastrous image that, no matter how much it sells, will have to be lifted through patches. Believe me it's a shame that I have to write this first part in the conclusion text because, in general terms and if I omitted that, the game would be very fun and tremendously enjoyable. Everything seemed to work in one direction, but it has not been possible. This could have been, and many would have agreed in this opinion, the best Pokémon in years. In the end it will always be in the opinion of each one to say if the glass is half full or half empty, although there is less and less water with which to doubt.

The Last Door: Complete Edition became The Game Kitchen's gateway to the video game market and set a good precedent on which to continue building and refining (something we have seen in Blasphemous or hope to see in its already announced future sequel). ). With a fair but evocative graphic style, a supernatural story that draws on the great classics of literature is proposed and is intriguing in each of the episodes that compose it. Remembering the classic point & click adventures, the puzzles become the source of progress, with a somewhat easy difficulty at the beginning, but that will increase as the adventure unfolds. All this, seasoned with the magnificent music of Carlos Viola.

A Winding Path is an unexpected game. With a particular aesthetic that allows it to offer a unique experience, it is surrounded by a human theme with certain magical nuances. Although the mechanics are simple, they are used to create the few challenges that you will find and they do not tire you for the duration of it. Despite everything, this may also be insufficient for the most dedicated players looking for a powerful challenge.

Square Enix delivers a fascinating strategic game that will make lovers of the genre strive to find the different ways to achieve their goal. With a battle system that is easy to understand, the depth of the game and its formulas allow the challenge to reach as far as each one wants to go, achieving a personalized and dedicated experience for each player. The gameplay can become addictive due to its speed and the fun of the games, being framed by an interesting story, which although it varies between epic moments and weak moments that can make it irregular, in general it is quite inspired. We add to this an outstanding soundtrack and a characteristic design of the company.

Splatoon 3 is an evolution of the formula, perfecting it and providing it with new elements that allow us to continue expanding the gameplay that is so marked that the saga has. Although there were people who expected that revolution that had characterized other Nintendo sagas (and therefore generated criticism), it is taking control and feeling that, although everything seems to remain the same, there are many details that have been polished to offer the best experience to the player.
