7.7 / 10.0 - Pacific Drive
Feb 26, 2024

Pacific Drive is made for fans of survival games and sci-fi adventures. With its captivating anomalies and subtle horror, the hugely important and extensive maintenance of the station wagon and the somewhat frustrating ruthlessness. Pacific Drive offers a unique experience with a charming flair and is a great debut from Ironwood Studios.

7 / 10.0 - The Inquisitor
Feb 19, 2024

The Inquisitor is actually often like a car crash that you simply can't look away from. But as you look further, there is always a real sense of wonder at the twists and turns in the story, a fresh setting and fun ideas. The battles are as bumpy as Mordimer is grumpy and the Unworld is full of frustration and yet you still want to keep going. If you are not opposed to the bizarre, you should definitely give the title a chance. Otherwise, let the vengeful Jesus come for you!

6.6 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Feb 16, 2024

Skull and Bones feels like an online mode from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, but in a bad way. The sea battles are really fun at first and look really great, but unfortunately it remains a monotonous and dull grind. There's not much to do, there's no gameplay away from the ship and everything else just plods along. There is definitely potential somewhere, but there are plenty of more fun alternatives in the pirate genre.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a journey into a wonderfully dark, serious and sometimes harsh world. You can expect many tough decisions, great characters and interesting twists, especially in the so-called "Haunting Case" side missions. Apart from that, the combat is unfortunately disappointing, remaining far too repetitive and clunky, and there is too much aimless wandering in the search for mission objectives. However, fans of the occult and the supernatural à la The Witcher or detective stories should definitely pick it up.

8.4 / 10.0 - Helldivers II
Feb 12, 2024

Helldivers 2 is great co-op fun for fans of action and alien bugs. It's mindless fun in its purest form and a credit to the developers for refining the basics of the gameplay so well. However, when it comes to the content, the game stops surprising pretty quickly and becomes a marathon of killing thousands of enemies and repeating familiar missions. But there is plenty of potential for surprises and innovations in the future, especially after the difficult server launch.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new path for the Arkham studio. It tries to be a balancing act between cool, staged story pieces and a well thought-out live service game, which unfortunately doesn't work out for either. Boring missions, repetitive sequences and an online constraint spoil the fun immensely. Even the thoroughly satisfying shooter gameplay and the interesting premise can't save much overall

Feb 6, 2024

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash falls considerably short of its potential. The story, variety of modes and gameplay often feel like the bare minimum for a game in the genre. The many customizations paired with the really faithful character realizations and the cool 2vs2 mechanics just about save the game from being a failure.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is a great, fresh action JRPG. The story is predictable, but offers an enormous amount of variety and definitely scores with its pleasant length. Battles are really fun and full of variety and effects, and the many characters in an online group make you want to play more, even if it can become confusing and repetitive. However, we can recommend the title to any fan of the genre.

8.7 / 10.0 - Persona 3 Reload
Jan 30, 2024

Persona 3 Reload is such a splendidly reworked version that it can almost feel like a completely new Persona. Gorgeous visuals, a perfectly remixed soundtrack, an improved battle system and a finally updated, albeit still in parts boring, trip through Tartarus really leave little to be desired when embarking on a trip to the Gekkoukan school. It's just a shame that the female protagonist and the additional chapter "The Answer" are still missing.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an incredibly ambitious title that can be recommended without reservation. It has been improved in every nook and cranny compared to its predecessor, with the turn-based battles benefiting in particular. The story offers an ambivalent rollercoaster ride, especially from the halfway point onwards, and the side quests are more varied and sprawling than ever before. And there won't be a better nostalgia trip for Yakuza/Kiryu fans any time soon.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown managed the leap into the new genre of Metroidvanias really well. The battles are challenging, moving through the levels is enormous fun and there are visually impressive counterattacks to marvel at. The fact that the characters and story are inconsequential and the backtracking can be a bit tedious should not deter genre fans too much.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a good asymmetrical multiplayer experience that really translates the original wonderfully. It offers a new approach thanks to the multiple killers and thus keeps the gameplay fresh for longer. Unfortunately, the now four maps are not enough for long-term motivation and the lack of solo challenges or general content apart from the one PVP mode detracts from the otherwise really great basic concept

Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express is entertaining detective fun that catapults Agatha Christie's best-known story into the modern age. The investigation brings a few new approaches that also make it interesting for fans and the puzzles are always quite challenging. The game's drawbacks are the bumpy animations, the repetitive gameplay and the occasionally unpleasant voice acting

Echoes of the Fallen offers a rather short, crisp extra mission shortly before the end of the main game. With too little story, but several really great boss fights and one of the most impressive final bosses in the game, it's definitely worth a look for fans who still lack blood on Clive's blade.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora offers an interesting new approach to the classic open-world genre, attempting a more serene and thoughtful path with a focus on environments and nature. This works exceptionally well visually, and there are enjoyable gameplay elements, but the bland story, frequent encounters with too many similar enemies in confined areas, and the confusing search for the next objective give the game a blue mark.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Invincible
Nov 30, 2023

The Invincible is not for everyone. You simply have to like the quiet narrative style, the setting and the lack of real gameplay to appreciate the enjoyment behind it. But if you can take your time and are not opposed to retro sci-fi and walking simulators, you will get an incredibly beautifully crafted world with great voice actors and probably the best playable adaptation of a book in a long time.

7.9 / 10.0 - The Last Faith
Nov 16, 2023

The Last Faith covers several genres while creating a truly good mix. It features the impressive but fair bosses of a Souls game, the numerous, if at times confusing, exploration possibilities of a Metroidvania, and the dark style of Bloodborne. A shallow story and a lot of backtracking in the second half should therefore only moderately deter fans of the genre.

Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is more of a battle collection with bonuses than a fully-fledged new installment. The story mode only covers about a quarter of the fights from Naruto to the end of the Shippuden saga and the "Special Story" mode has too many filler fights that drag it out. But the fun and varied battles with the immense number of characters, the great visuals and finally 60fps make the actual gameplay a pleasure. Nevertheless, it can only be recommended to hardened Naruto fans.

Persona 5 Tactica consistently impresses with its fun battles, which always remain fresh thanks to the variety of areas and elements. The music is once again absolutely superb and the story becomes serious and interesting once you have completed a little more than the first act. However, the pacing, the often underwhelming visual novel presentation and the limited game world drag down the overall impression somewhat.

8.4 / 10.0 - This Bed We Made

his Bed We Made is a unique mystery game with a good story and a great setting that impresses with its atmosphere. If you like the premise and the penchant for crime thrillers, it is definitely worth your money despite a few minor flaws.
