6.5 / 10.0 - Gungrave G.O.R.E
Nov 22, 2022

Gungrave G.O.R.E. wants us to go back to the old days of the PS2. Dumb action, a lackluster story with a silent hero and a big gun on his back. Sadly the boring and repetitive gameplay make it hard to recommend this game.

6.6 / 10.0 - Skull and Bones
Feb 16, 2024

Skull and Bones feels like an online mode from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, but in a bad way. The sea battles are really fun at first and look really great, but unfortunately it remains a monotonous and dull grind. There's not much to do, there's no gameplay away from the ship and everything else just plods along. There is definitely potential somewhere, but there are plenty of more fun alternatives in the pirate genre.

Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash falls considerably short of its potential. The story, variety of modes and gameplay often feel like the bare minimum for a game in the genre. The many customizations paired with the really faithful character realizations and the cool 2vs2 mechanics just about save the game from being a failure.

6.9 / 10.0 - CRYMACHINA
Oct 20, 2023

CRYMACHINA impresses with an intriguing world, great music and a very interesting graphic style paired with anime aesthetics, which we liked throughout. Unfortunately, with the same old battles, dull and linear dungeons, and unimpressive bosses, there's not much left outside of that.

7 / 10.0 - The Inquisitor
Feb 19, 2024

The Inquisitor is actually often like a car crash that you simply can't look away from. But as you look further, there is always a real sense of wonder at the twists and turns in the story, a fresh setting and fun ideas. The battles are as bumpy as Mordimer is grumpy and the Unworld is full of frustration and yet you still want to keep going. If you are not opposed to the bizarre, you should definitely give the title a chance. Otherwise, let the vengeful Jesus come for you!

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new path for the Arkham studio. It tries to be a balancing act between cool, staged story pieces and a well thought-out live service game, which unfortunately doesn't work out for either. Boring missions, repetitive sequences and an online constraint spoil the fun immensely. Even the thoroughly satisfying shooter gameplay and the interesting premise can't save much overall

7.2 / 10.0 - Exoprimal
Jul 20, 2023

Exoprimal has a great basic structure. Fun, varied classes, great visuals and a crazy setting. However, since the story should be blatantly ignored and the variety leaves something to be desired with only one mode, the game can only be unreservedly recommended for GamePass so far. It is addictive and fun, but simply offers too little for a full-price title.

Echoes of the Fallen offers a rather short, crisp extra mission shortly before the end of the main game. With too little story, but several really great boss fights and one of the most impressive final bosses in the game, it's definitely worth a look for fans who still lack blood on Clive's blade.

7.3 / 10.0 - PAYDAY 3
Sep 21, 2023

Payday 3 takes a big step forward in what has been the sole field of heist simulators. The new stealth mechanics are motivating, the gameplay has been improved and the heists are varied. However, there are still some drawbacks in the current lack of content, the AI and the general polish. However, some things are already being worked on, so that Heist fans will soon be able to let off steam here.

7.3 / 10.0 - Atlas Fallen
Aug 9, 2023

Atlas Fallen is a difficult case. On the one hand, there's great surfing through the sand, fun-heavy combat and extensive gameplay style customization, as well as all sorts of things to discover in the open world. On the other hand, there are boring characters, a far too serious and predictable story, repetitive mission objectives and artificially difficult battles. Thus, the game can only be recommended if you lower a few expectations and are aware that it gets clunky and lacks variety in some places. Because the fun of the game is really only a layer of sand away most of the time.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is a good asymmetrical multiplayer experience that really translates the original wonderfully. It offers a new approach thanks to the multiple killers and thus keeps the gameplay fresh for longer. Unfortunately, the now four maps are not enough for long-term motivation and the lack of solo challenges or general content apart from the one PVP mode detracts from the otherwise really great basic concept

Agatha Christie - Murder on the Orient Express is entertaining detective fun that catapults Agatha Christie's best-known story into the modern age. The investigation brings a few new approaches that also make it interesting for fans and the puzzles are always quite challenging. The game's drawbacks are the bumpy animations, the repetitive gameplay and the occasionally unpleasant voice acting

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora offers an interesting new approach to the classic open-world genre, attempting a more serene and thoughtful path with a focus on environments and nature. This works exceptionally well visually, and there are enjoyable gameplay elements, but the bland story, frequent encounters with too many similar enemies in confined areas, and the confusing search for the next objective give the game a blue mark.

Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is more of a battle collection with bonuses than a fully-fledged new installment. The story mode only covers about a quarter of the fights from Naruto to the end of the Shippuden saga and the "Special Story" mode has too many filler fights that drag it out. But the fun and varied battles with the immense number of characters, the great visuals and finally 60fps make the actual gameplay a pleasure. Nevertheless, it can only be recommended to hardened Naruto fans.

Fate/Samurai Remnant offers a balancing act of anime-style samurai epics paired with more focused combat in the style of the Warriors games. You can expect beautiful and numerous areas that also include equally barren arela, has a more tactical approach to the fights that doesn't last until the end, and gets a bit too lost in its repetition, although there are always new mechanics and enemy designs. A blade with samurais on one side and Musou on the other, though, where fans of either should definitely take a look. It definitely could have used more anime epicness though, as the opening suggests.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection brings two great games back into the modern era. Packed full of content, all the DLC, online modes and a polished look, there should be little to go wrong here. But Aspyr messed things up with a disastrous online launch with too few servers, spongy controls and a lack of options from the original. Patch it Chewie!

While Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten has quite an extensive and interesting story with likable characters, the general pacing and longevity of the battles get in the way, as the game is simply far too long for that. However, Utawarerumono fans and JRPG lovers will still get their money's worth.

7.7 / 10.0 - Pacific Drive
Feb 26, 2024

Pacific Drive is made for fans of survival games and sci-fi adventures. With its captivating anomalies and subtle horror, the hugely important and extensive maintenance of the station wagon and the somewhat frustrating ruthlessness. Pacific Drive offers a unique experience with a charming flair and is a great debut from Ironwood Studios.

Lords of the Fallen is a really ambitious Souls-like game. It's one of the few that brings great innovation to the table, but it forgets to keep the technology together and to alternate bosses and enemies in addition to the oppulent visuals. Fans of the genre should therefore give the game a few more patches, then you should have quite a fun time in Mournestead.

7.8 / 10.0 - The Crew Motorfest
Sep 19, 2023

In its best moments, The Crew Motorfest offers an incredibly great-looking and fun racing paradise, which gets a lot of variety from the playlists. Unfortunately, boats and planes hardly take place, NPCs are annoying and microtransactions are strangely omnipresent. However, those who can stand it and even like online multiplayer will have found their virtual vacation spot with Hawaii.
