It's hard to tell why Fae Farm is shipping in the state that it's in, and it's a shame that the core of the game is overshadowed by bugs and poor design choices. I hope one day it's in a state where it's possible to love it as much as I want to.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is still unique in what it offers to the farming sim sub-genre: it's a slice of life, but you live the whole life. It's a shining example of worthwhile risky choices, and how genre-defining features only come through experimentation over imitation.

FuRyu can be quite hit or miss with their releases, and unfortunately I think Trinity Trigger is more a miss. That's not to say it isn't a worthwhile experience though, and I think its specific audience will enjoy what's on offer.

Continuing Capcom's past efforts to make the Monster Hunter series an accessible and enjoyable experience, Rise gets a lot of things right and very, very few things wrong. Expect to get caught up in a "just one more" cycle of grinding and crafting.

The Tactics Ogre series has been dormant for a long time, but if this remaster is anything to go by, Square Enix still has total confidence in their IP. I cannot hesitate to recommend this game to fans of SRPGs, and it's accessible enough for newcomers to dive right in.

Persona 5 Royal is an experience that no JRPG fan should miss, pure and simple. While it's an extremely satisfying experience overall, there are some rather visible areas for improvement in Persona 6. Nevertheless, this game is a modern classic.
