7 / 10.0 - Ylands
May 24, 2024

In my opinion, Ylands is a very promising exploration adventure game that offers players a vast and diverse sandbox environment. The game’s intuitive editor and multiplayer features enhance its replayability, although some may find it repetitive after a while. Community-driven games, however, offer a welcome diversion in the form of some truly creative experiences. Of course, most of these are just silly little games that last a few minutes. If you’re mainly interested in survival, be sure to purchase the “Explorer” DLC directly within the game. On the other hand, if you want to let your creativity run wild, you’ll definitely have a blast with the editor mentioned above.

9 / 10.0 - Withering Rooms
May 8, 2024

Despite its difficulty, Withering Rooms is a very entertaining game that you simply have to finish at all costs. But one playthrough definitely won’t be enough—you’ll also need to see the other endings to better understand the whole story. The game also offers plenty of puzzles (some of which are a bit trickier) that provide a pleasant challenge. Personally, I also really enjoyed meeting new characters, searching for hidden paths, and, of course, changing Nightingale’s outfits. The Medusa Head is my favorite piece in the main character’s wardrobe. Even if you’re not a fan of the Souls games, you should definitely give this one a try, as it’s surprisingly addictive.

7.5 / 10.0 - Paleo Pines
Apr 26, 2024

How would I sum up Paleo Pines? For me personally, it’s just another cute farming simulator—but this time with dinosaurs. Everything is colorful and incredibly cute. This game will definitely keep you busy for a few hours as you discover and complete everything. I’m very happy to recommend this game to you, especially if you’re a fan of dinosaurs, laid-back games, or just want to chill out a bit.

7 / 10.0 - REVEIL
Apr 1, 2024

To me, Reveil is a surprising horror simulator with high-quality visuals and music. For my taste, though, the game is short and could use a slightly longer storyline. The ending is definitely shocking and unexpected. I’d compare this title to a mix of Layers of Fear and an escape room game. It’s definitely worth checking out, especially for any fan of horror games—that is, if you don’t mind simulators.

6.5 / 10.0 - Internet Generation
Mar 30, 2024

In my humble opinion, Internet Generation is a fun, colorful, and cute game among the beat ’em up titles. The game isn’t that long—it’ll take you about five to six hours to finish. I’m a little disappointed that English subtitles are missing in some places, so you can’t enjoy the game to its fullest. Otherwise, I’d recommend it to all fans of anime waifus and cute girls.

6 / 10.0 - The Unliving
Mar 30, 2024

In my opinion, The Unliving is a very interesting title in the rogue-lite action RPG genre. Personally, I was charmed by its enjoyable gameplay, which even a complete beginner can handle. All of this is complemented by great pixel art, and the background music is simply a joy to listen to. The game also offers a variety of upgrades, and each new playthrough presents a slight difference, whether in the form of dialogue or the environment. I definitely have to admit that this game is worth trying out and is well worth your time.

Mar 25, 2024

For me personally, Alone in the Dark is a title that revives this series, especially after the last disastrous installment. It offers a new, compelling story set in a beautifully and intricately detailed environment. I’d also give it extra credit for the voice acting and the actors who portrayed Emily and Edward and brought them to life. As for optimization, it will likely need some fine-tuning. The game will keep you entertained for several hours, but honestly, I think two playthroughs—one for each character—will be more than enough. Now we can only hope that this marks a fresh and successful start for the series.

Mar 23, 2024

Alone in the Dark: Illumination is truly the final nail in the coffin of this series. These days, the game has nothing to offer compared to titles like Alan Wake, Resident Evil, Left 4 Dead, and others. On top of that, it’s riddled with bugs and technical issues, and honestly, who among us wants to suffer through four or five hours of something like this? Plus, the servers are completely empty. As far as I’m concerned, it’s definitely a big “no” for this game.

10 / 10.0 - Sally Face
Mar 6, 2024

Sally Face is an absolutely fantastic game. If you like horror games, puzzles, and a great story, you definitely shouldn’t miss this title. The game has a very interesting and engaging story, plus well-written characters. Who wouldn’t love Sally Fisher or Larry, especially since they have such good taste in music? For cat lovers, there’s a real gem: Gizmo, a little cat who loves watching TV and collecting stickers.

8.5 / 10.0 - Immortal Life
Mar 5, 2024

To me, Immortal Life is a charming game that combines the best elements of other farming games and simulators into one. The use of magic is like in Sunhaven, building and crafting are similar to My Time at Portia, farming is reminiscent of Story of Seasons, and combat is like in My Time at Sandrock. Plus, the game brings a breath of fresh air to this genre. On top of that, you’ll enjoy the pleasant visuals of a Chinese fantasy landscape with cute characters and traditional Chinese music that accompanies you every step of the way. It’s definitely a very addictive simulator that will have you spending hours without even realizing it.

8.5 / 10.0 - Blood West
Feb 24, 2024

If I had to sum up Blood West, it’s an incredibly fun—albeit challenging—game. If you don’t give up right after the first mission, I promise you’ll have a blast. In addition to a fairly interesting story and creepy enemies, the game manages to create a genuinely terrifying atmosphere despite its pixelated retro look. I’ll also give it bonus points for the catchy music. That’s why I have no choice but to wholeheartedly recommend it to you.

7.5 / 10.0 - Summum Aeterna
Feb 16, 2024

Although I’m not a big fan of this genre, I have to admit that Summum Aeterna offers an interesting rogue-lite experience. The game’s art style blends beautifully with its enjoyable gameplay. I didn’t even mind dying every few moments, as I often found myself admiring the environment and the design of the various enemies instead of fighting. A very interesting aspect is working with seeds to create the best possible world. The game is challenging, but also very addictive and fun.

9.5 / 10.0 - Persona 3 Reload
Feb 13, 2024

If you enjoyed the original Persona 3, you’ll enjoy this revamped version even more. Persona 3 Reload is bigger, better, and more action-packed. Whether we’re talking about the visuals, the music, the voice acting, or the turn-based combat system, everything is fantastic. I’m having a blast with this game—it completely draws you into the story, and you’ll lose track of time. Whether I’m fighting in Tartarus or hanging out with friends after school, none of it ever feels repetitive or boring. I love being able to decide for myself where to go, when to go, and who to go with. For me, this is definitely one of the best remakes I’ve ever played.

Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation is definitely an interesting collection for both fans and new players. In my opinion, the game offers perfect voice acting and great graphics—all at a top-notch level. While the story is a bit weaker, the rest of the game more than makes up for it. Plus, the game offers several hours of entertainment. You’ll find both entertaining and emotional moments throughout the entire trilogy.

Feb 10, 2024

Station to Station is a relaxing, laid-back game that’s accessible and playable by absolutely everyone. If you don’t want to complete challenges, you don’t have to—you can play it without challenges or in-game currency. I have to say, the game features absolutely stunning voxel graphics that will make you pause for a moment and take a closer look at what’s happening around your little train.

6.5 / 10.0 - Fort Solis
Feb 9, 2024

Fort Solis offers players an intriguing story that builds tension perfectly right from the start, but before you know it, it’s all over. The game won’t take you more than four hours to complete, and that’s only because of the incredibly slow walking speed. However, all the actors and voice actors deliver incredible performances. I’d especially like to highlight the performance of one of the lead actors, Roger Clark, who plays Dr. Wyatt. The game’s optimization is still lacking, which is quite a shame. I definitely recommend playing this game, but wait until it goes on sale.

Feb 5, 2024

Alone in the Dark is the pioneer of the survival horror genre and, for many gamers who grew up in the ’90s, it’s a real treat for the soul. Any fan of the Resident Evil or Silent Hill series shouldn’t miss this first installment. If you’re an older gamer, I’m sure you’ll enjoy reminiscing—just like I do—about how this game terrified you not with the number of enemies or frantic action, but rather with its intense atmosphere. In this game, you actually had to think your way through to avoid getting stuck. For today’s players, it’s more of a relic of its time. If you’ve beaten the game, it’s clear that you’re among the genre’s veterans or connoisseurs.

7 / 10.0 - Impaler
Feb 3, 2024

Impaler is a totally addictive retro shooter that subtly pushes you to be the best and constantly try new tactics. I have to admit, it’s a lot of fun to watch the monsters slowly slide down the spikes after being impaled or fly through the air after a barrel explodes (unless, of course, they’ve been blown to bits). The game has a super simple concept that’s just plain fun. Plus, it’s a lot of fun for just a few bucks—you can get the game for less than three euros, and it’s definitely worth it. I definitely recommend giving it a try.

If you’ve ever played Return of Obra Dinn, like I have, you’re sure to enjoy this game as well. You’ll put your detective skills to the test as you search for even the tiniest clues and uncover various connections between characters. It’s just plain fun to put your brain to work. The developers at Color Grey Games have done a really good job. The Case of the Golden Idol is an interesting and entertaining game with a surprising story, which I definitely recommend to fans of the detective genre.

8 / 10.0 - Above Snakes
Dec 21, 2023

Personally, I appreciate that Above Snakes isn’t extremely difficult, which gives me the chance to enjoy the game at my own pace—whether it’s building, crafting, or progressing through the story. The game is fast-paced and has a nice visual style. Sometimes you have to search a bit longer for resources, but it’s still a lot of fun. I really enjoyed customizing the map to my liking and creating large lakes or dense forests. The story is interesting, though perhaps a bit drawn out toward the end.
