ORDER 13

Critic Reviews for ORDER 13
ORDER 13 is a bite-sized horror game that will have you on edge as you try to keep your cute cat alive and strict quotas fulfilled. Cute, scary, and challenging – it's definitely worth a try.
Order 13 is both a horror game and a simulator. While I think it nails the horror environment for the most part, it falls short on the simulator aspect. It's still a fun time, but it has issues that become more apparent as you play, but it ends before any of them become a major issue. Even the cat, while cute, could be fleshed out a bit more too. While I was hoping it would do more, I still had fun and don't regret the hours I gave it.
Honestly, after completing ORDER 13, I was disappointed. There was no set-up, no story as you journey deeper into the warehouse. And even worse, the actual ending of the game doesn’t exist. ORDER 13’s store page says there is a mystery to uncover, but it was non-existent in the game. The warehouse didn’t seem to change when I died, and the only things that are truly random are the orders you receive. The cat, whose happiness we have to maintain, has no reason for being there either. I wish I could have spoken more positively about the game, but there really isn’t anything in the game worth mentioning or that stands out. And anything positive was I’ve already said in the graphics & audio. Sadly, I’m gonna have to give it the Thumb Culture Bronze Award.
Order 13’s fulfilment centre horror is a fantastic concept for a video game, but it doesn't take particularly long for the tension to be lost.
Aside from my issues with simulator sickness, Order 13 was an alright game. It’s designed with streamers and their audience in mind, so it’s not really geared towards people like me. That doesn’t mean it’s not fun to play outside the streaming sphere as it holds its own and the core loop is good, it’s just very obviously meant for the horror streamers. I don’t blame them, because honestly, if that’s what helps them sell the game, good on them. Conclusion. Game okay. Not great, not terrible. Good for streaming. The end.
