It's no exaggeration to say that the addition of Separate Ways to the Resident Evil 4 Remake was one of the best decisions CAPCOM could have made. The gameplay is just as much fun, hard, and intense as it was in the original game. The DLC continues in the same vein of suspenseful action horror as the main game and does a fine job. Resident Evil 4: Separate Ways fills up several plot holes that were present during Leon's campaign.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is undeniably a must-have. There's so much extra there with this absolutely worthwhile DLC. Simply put, different characters, various places, and different kinds of adventures. It's like the main game's endings but with greater variety. The time investment is well justified by the increased level cap, the additional cyberware, and the interesting new story.
Lies of P's storytelling is top-notch, with engaging stories and challenging character missions that immerse you in its universe. The Bloodborne-inspired fighting system is a highlight, rewarding an offensive approach to gameplay with a variety of exciting attacks. The game's story, setting, and mechanics are as impressive as anything else FromSoftware has made. Lies of P has quickly become one of our top picks by borrowing so many fantastic features from other games in the Souls-like genre.
Although NBA 2K24 may be a slam dunk in many respects, it is not a radical departure from its predecessor, NBA 2K23, in terms of the overall gameplay experience. The same NBA teams will be featured in the game, and the gameplay will not undergo any significant changes. It is safe to assume that if you are a fan of the franchise, you will find a lot to appreciate here. There is a lot to love about this installment. The inclusion of Pro Play Mamba moments, along with the ongoing development of my career, contribute to the fascinating nature of the title.
Although it's not as good as Fallout or Skyrim, Starfield is still fundamentally a classic Bethesda role-playing game. The quests change up occasionally and are full of wit and cleverness in spots; unfortunately, this is also the game's only strength, which we foolishly learn about only after putting in a few hours. The closest comparison would be Fallout in outer space. Shares many of Fallout 4's and Skyrim's flaws and triumphs, does some things exceptionally well, and even brings back some of Oblivion's mechanics. Starfield is like Skyrim and Fallout 4 fused in space. Expect nothing amazing, but give it a shot if you like Bethesda role-playing games and are looking for something with a sci-fi twist.
Immortals of Aveum caters to fans of first-person platformers and shooters. Those who have enjoyed Hogwarts Legacy, Atlas Fallen, Forspoken, or even Call or Duty may find the game likable, but it's not for everyone. The challenges aren't too difficult, while the game's structure is too linear, from enemy encounters through main objectives to puzzles. It's not a particularly remarkable game, and like most other things, Immortals of Aveum will soon be forgotten. If you're considering picking it up, you should hold off until it goes on sale.
If you’re looking for an RPG with a solid exploration and fighting system, Atlas Fallen is a good option. You might be let down by the game’s plot if that’s your main motivation for playing. If you don’t care about the story and just want to explore the world and build a wide variety of characters, this game is fantastic. Especially with Co-op, I believe it would be fun to just run around in this environment and wreck and blow stuff up with a friend. The map is fairly large, with several explorable zones and an additional, optional zone off to the side. In the end, Atlas Fallen is fun; it doesn’t exactly break new ground, but it has enough to entertain you.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series - Episode 1 demonstrates some potentially interesting gameplay mechanisms, notably with the mag boots and the zero-g movement. There may be a need for minor tweaks, but the overall foundation appears strong enough for a satisfying experience when the full game is finally released. Even though it's still very early but The Expanse: A Telltale Series has much potential but doesn't quite live up to the hype of making an explosive comeback like some fans may have hoped. While the overall concept is intriguing, the gameplay itself falls just short of captivating players. Then again, the narrative is very absorbing, and the new angle provided by introducing Mag boots and zero-g exploration is quite interesting. Go for it if you're a huge fan of The Expanse universe or old Telltale Games such as The Wolf Among Us, Batman: The Telltale Series or The Walking Dead, but don't get your hopes up for a revolutionary new gaming experience.
Final Fantasy XVI has been a fantastic experience for me overall. The narrative is mesmerizing, the gameplay is entertaining, and there are many things to do in the game, all of which appeal to new players and veterans alike. This game is excellent in every facet, from its story and pacing to its gameplay and depth, graphic quality, sound design, soundtrack, and the voice acting it features. If you are still on the fence about something, you should check out the demo.
Crime Boss: Rockay City is still an enjoyable game to play. It could certainly be frustrating if you've progressed much far in the game and died at that point without having to get your crew members or army back, but this is exactly what players want from roguelike games. The game is not flawless by any stretch of the imagination; in point of fact, the mechanisms for shooting and stealth aren't really that remarkable, but they can be enhanced with a few regular upgrades since the overall concept is fun.
Street Fighter 6 has been beefed up to seem like a true next-gen fighting experience with a robust training mode and its revived control mechanism that attracts a wide variety of players. Despite World Tour being a great addition to the game, it requires further enhancements in the coming days, while the implementation of Rollback Netcode guarantees consistent performance in every match. The Drive mechanism and the overall presentation are friendly enough for beginners and offer what veterans need to keep them interested in a new game.
The inclusion of more content that encourages a sense of exploration would've been a plus in that context. In contrast, fans of the Star Wars series won't surely be bothered with these matters and will be rewarded with a fantastic journey full of events, exploration, and interesting characters. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor may have pared down to some fundamentals, yet it continues to deliver on the promise of a solid Star Wars action role-playing game.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox's beautiful visuals will keep you hooked from the get-go. The mechanics are simple enough that even novice players won't have trouble getting the hang of the game. Both the story and the level of challenge are excellent, preventing the game from ever seeming stale. Anyone who enjoys platformers should give The Last Case of Benedict Fox one a try. It is a fantastic showcase of what can be done in the platforming genre, with stunning visuals, engaging gameplay, and a memorable cast of characters.
The King of Fighters XV is a satisfying experience. Changes like making EX moves available without activating Max mode, slowing down the maximum possible attack speed, and improving the responsiveness of the controls make this my favorite The King of Fighters game to date. The ability to access and use music from previous King of Fighters and other SNK games is a fantastic bonus. It's promising, and SNK should expand upon it in the future rather than see it as a standalone effort.
While EA SPORTS PGA TOUR isn't for everyone and can be tedious at times, it has plenty to offer golf fans thanks to its extensive course library, rewarding career mode, and user-friendly controls. The long hiatus seems to have served well; it has returned with the same high-quality simulation for which it is known and a renewed emphasis on satisfying fans' desires. With this structure, EA Sports will only move the franchise in a positive direction, and unless they really want to, it's impossible to falter from here.
Capcom's remake of Resident Evil 4 is an entirely new experience, shifting the focus from horror to action, which may not sit well with fans of the original. The remake, however, does an excellent job of restoring any concerns that may have been raised about it. Visually impressive surroundings, compelling cutscenes, and the new gameplay mechanism all contribute to the renewed appeal of Leon's saga.
The Outer Worlds is what Obsidian does best, a character-driven RPG that allows you to resolve situations however you see fit. The game's overall quality suffers a little because of the constant irrelevant switching of gears and items that takes the attention. Yet, it's a solid role-playing game where stories and choices matter more than mindless fetch quests. Spacer's Choice Edition is significantly enhanced graphically, and the AI is vastly improved compared to the original.
WWE 2K23 is undoubtedly a step forward, and Visual Concepts and 2K deserve great credit. It has a fun gameplay mechanism, various match options, and branching narratives that guarantee a lot of playthroughs. Simply put, if you are a wrestling fan, you don't want to miss playing WWE 2K23, as it can be quoted as the best WWE game ever made to date.
PARANORMASIGHT: The Seven Mysteries of Honjo is a pleasant surprise from Squire Enix, a brilliant work of art that sets the genre's standard even higher. The game's dialogue-heavy design, challenging puzzles, and unexpected turns demand players' full focus. It's a must-play for fans of both horror and visual novels and games that use multiple perspectives to tell a gripping story.
Although certain issues with the gameplay and controls detract from the overall experience, the game still remains enjoyable. FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse's unique combat, compelling story, and memorable cast of characters ensure that the game will appeal to new and veteran players. While newcomers to the Fatal Frame series may not admire its gameplay, long-time series fans will simply adore it.
